The Tiara 53 is powered by twin Volvo IPSII 950 with Joystick Plus control. The technologically advanced Volvo IPS power plants are matched to a successful ocean proven hull delivering a solid ride whether you’re enjoying a calm day cruise or pushing the vessel to get you to your favorite island getaways far offshore. A strong, sleek and elegant profile combined with an integrated hardtop and large, obstruction-free tempered, tinted windows add to her global styling. The salon and bridge deck with her 360 degree panoramic views open to the cockpit through sliding aft doors built with indoor/outdoor living in mind. Her Bow features concealed ground tackle and a through stem anchoring system which may be operated at the helm or adjacent foot switch on the forward deck next to the locker. An optional reclining sunpad cushioned lounge neatly engineered forward offers a luxurious spot for the sun worshipers.   SOPHISTICATED INTERIOR APPOINTMENTS The salon features a single level deck from the cockpit forward to the bridge where a single step separates entertaining from the business of operating the vessel. One of the few designs that have not seen significant change will be the helm and dash featuring sensible ergonomic placement of controls and gauges leaving plenty of room for flush mounting electronics. She will love this Tiara 53 too. As you leave the smart and rugged designs of the exterior and finish admiring the innovative mechanical systems, the hard and soft goods featured throughout the interior appeal to what her sense of a yacht should be.   Entertaining guests and enjoying the world of yachting can be shared by women and men alike. The smart and modern Tiara 53 seamlessly blends the strength and performance of the machine with the elegance of interior design and fabrics throughout. The full beam master lets the sun shine in through large windows port and starboard. The head with private shower has external venting.   Large hanging lockers, cabinetry and a private sitting area all compliment the master.   The master opens to a common atrium with a large pantry and washer/dryer concealed within a port side closet. The optional third stateroom would delete this option. The head is shared between the atrium and forward queen VIP Stateroom.   EFFORTLESS ENTERTAINMENT True to the yachting lifestyle, most of your time on a new Tiara 53 will be spent entertaining in the salon and cockpit. The aft galley contains all the major appliances and large counter spaces to match. Quick and convenient access to the cockpit lounge seating and optional teak dining table make for effortless entertaining and dining. An optional hydraulic swim platform with access port and starboard by broad, safe steps brings you to the water world and can function as dinghy storage while underway. You can also utilize the storage space in the over-sized trunk engineered into the transom. The swim platform will feature drink holders at the water level, custom molded handholds and a smart ladder system for ease of entry. An extensive list of optional mechanical systems, exterior color choices, limited customization and interior decors are available to make your Tiara Yacht uniquely yours.

  5. Ta Chiao North Sea 33

    Bainbridge Island, Washington, United States
    1977
    $71,310

This is a very unique boat I have owned and loved since 2000 and have traveled on for 15,000 nautical miles.   She is usually the prettiest boat in the harbor and gets a lot of looks.  My wife calls her my mistress.  She was even in the Washington State calendar in 1999.  She was built by the Flying Dutchman Yachts group and designed by Andew Davidhazy, “Built for the comfort of the first mate”.  She is hull one of four and was in the 1977 Kingdome boat show, so she had extra detail work done.  Of the four made this is the only one that has been well maintained.  With the boat comes a copy of the Washington State Calendar, the 1977 boat show guide “Castoff”, pictures of the boat being uncrated in Vancouver BC, and blueprints from the designer.   She is a very comfortable boat with wide decks and shrouds out of the way.  She has a beautiful solid teak pilothouse with the rare design of a dinette in the pilothouse, so your passengers are always in bright light, can take in the vistas and see where you are going while staying warm.  She is so stable I you can leave your coffee cup about anywhere and it will be fine.  In the winter with the Dickenson stove she is warm and cozy.   Often I’m inside cruising in my shorts with a coffee whilst I watch my fellow sailors freeze in the wind and rain.   She has an awesome range under power you can motor from Seattle to Desolation and back without refueling.  She has a large galley and sleeps five, the rest you can see in the pictures.  All but the first four pictures were taken in the past year.     General Info:   •LOA 33’ 4” •LWL 27’ 6” •Beam 10’ 7” •Draft 5’ 2” •Ballast 5,400 cutaway full keel •Displacement 16,400 •2010 repowered with a Yanmar 4JHE Diesel; .7gph at 6.2 kts currently around 1550 hours. •The covers were made ~ 2014, very nice work from Inger PT Canvas. •1000lb Stainless Lewmar windlass with inside controls. •JRC LCD Radar. •Garmin Chart plotter, charts to circumnavigate Vancouver Island. •Autohelm 400+ autopilot. •2016 Topsides were painted with LP Perfection, as well as new bottom paint. •2017 New 2000W Inverter, 2 of the golf cart batteries replaced, new 100W solar panel. •Profurl roller furling on both sails. •Sails; Main, Jib, Foresail, Genoa, Drifter Reacher; all serviceable except small tear in drifter. •~1998 The cabin top and mast were replaced. The mast was made by Port Townsend shipwrights. •Two stainless water tanks ~ 45 gallons each. •Two black iron fuel tanks ~ 40 gallons each.  •One stainless sump tank ~ 15 gallons estimated. •One poly holding tank ~ 10 gallons. •Dickinson Atlantic stove. •Red dot type engine heated cab heater. •25lb CQR anchor, 50’ 5/16 chain and 100’ ½ line. •Shower •Swim Ladder. •Many spares including an engine.   ·
