Sailing yacht ILLUSION OF THE ISLES is a Southern Wind SW 100 DS superyacht launched in Cape Town in 2006. She is the second hull built in a successful series of performance orientated yachts which were designed by Farr Yacht Design with a powerful sail plan and comfortable yet high performance hull lines. She combines styling and performance with reliability and safety. She was constructed with advanced composite construction techniques plus traditional carpentry of the Southern Wind Shipyard.The deck plan is designed to allow easy sailing and comfort for both the crew and guests with her two-wheel pedestals which grant an excellent visibility to the helmsman providing a spacius aft cockpit area. The large sun-bathing area next to the central cockpit allows plenty of room for relaxing and socializing on deck. Major functions on board are all hydraulic.The Italian style interior creates an elegant, functional and comfortable living space, with the crew quarters strategically placed apart from the guests and owner's areas.
