  3. Nordhavn 68

    Nordhavn 68

The distinct styling of the 62 has been a Nordhavn hallmark for nearly twenty years, and the 68 captures the essence of this vessel yet it incorporates the latest thinking in design, systems and technology and packages it all into a beamier, heartier hull. The interior is stunning with modern styling and beautiful teak joiner work. And despite the size advantage, this vessel is just as easily managed by a cruising couple without need for captain and crew. Stepping onto the boat, the massive size of the 21-foot wide expanse can be immediately felt. The 68 carries its beam further aft and has a higher freeboard forward, thus providing more room on the inside. Offered in both an asymmetrical and dual walk-around layout, the huge saloon is an ideal gathering area for when the yacht plays host to larger groups. Meanwhile, cooking for the masses is a snap in the large gourmet galley with such features as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Because the 68 is an aft pilothouse model, the foredeck is open so there are deck hatches for lots of light and ventilation. This is especially noticeable in the full-beam Master Suite and its luxurious head and shower forward. There are full size port lights positioned on either side which show off breathtaking views. Located just two steps down and forward from the saloon/ galley area, the bright and airy cabin offers its owners a pleasant haven for an afternoon nap or good night’s sleep. Like the larger luxurious vessels in the Nordhavn fleet - the 72, 75EYF, 76, 78 and 86 – the Nordhavn 68 is filled with the best equipment as standard including hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, ABT stabilizers, air conditioning, and Stidd helm chairs. “This boat is so featurepacked there is not a regular option sheet for it,” says Streech.

From the outset of this project, we knew that the Nordhavn 72 would be a boat that would take P.A.E. to the next level. The stylish interior is replete with crown moldings, granite, leather, well-engineered lighting, soffets, the finest appliances, exquisite woodworking and much more. At the same time, the fundamental DNA of Nordhavn is not forgotten. There are numerous handrails, half-inch tempered glass windows, dogged doors, watertight bulkheads and the many other features which are essential for safe operation offshore. Meanwhile, the standard equipment list for the Nordhavn 72 is so complete that no regular options list is provided. Chilled water air conditioning, TRAC stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, Marquipt davit, wing engine, dry exhaust, windlass and ground tackle, and much more are standard. Add an electronics package, shore boats, and your personal items, and you’re on your way. The highly developed standard AC and DC electrical systems on the N72 achieve a new level of sophistication for Nordhavn and allow for semi-automatic operation of this feature packed vessel by a small crew or even one couple. The standard propulsion configuration of the N72 is classic Nordhavn. The single main engine is the highly respected John Deere 6135AFM in the 500 hp configuration and with its 25,000 hour life expectancy, should outlast most of us. Dry exhaust and keel cooling are standard as is the Lugger wing engine.

Imagine having access to the luxuries of a 100-foot boat at a smaller boat investment. With the Nordhavn 96 it’s possible: using the already enormous N86 hull as a jumping off point, the amplified superstructure of the 96 ups the ante in interior volume with accommodations that are nothing short of remarkable. The saloon and galley measures 43 feet in length and the combination of wheelhouse, captain’s cabin and sky lounge measure almost 34 feet in length. She includes a vast, full-width owner’s suite in addition to the captain’s cabin, three guest staterooms with ensuite heads, plus the spacious crew wing which comprises a roomy cabin and head aft with exterior entrance. A laundry and utility room are also provided. The luxurious and functional interior is finished with fine hardwoods, beautiful moldings and raised panels combined with stone floors, granite countertops, the finest hardware, lighting and fixtures. Like the N86, the interior of the Nordhavn 96 is customizeable to the owner’s personal vision. Driving the hull are twin MTU Series 60 engines rated at 600 hp each spinning 48-inch propellers through 4.59 to 1 reduction gears allow a transatlantic cruising speed of 10 knots. With over 7,000 gallons of fuel aboard and throttled back to the 9 knot range, this new design can run roughly 4,000 miles before refueling. The twin configuration includes integral skegs and two large attached rudders for maximum directional control and propellers that are protected within their own apertures. The advanced high-pressure, common rail, electronically injected engines are fitted with wet exhaust, commercial rated transmissions with large reduction gears and offer efficiency and reliability never before possible. An extensive list of standard machinery details includes central hydraulics with 20-square-foot stabilizers, 50 hp bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic bilge pumping and anchor wash downs, dual Onan generators, a universal AC electrical system for worldwide use, 3,500 lb. Marquipt davit, chilled water air-conditioning system, 2000 gallons-per-day water maker, automatic engine room and lazarette fire system with ventilation dampeners, an on-deck Jacuzzi and much more.  The Nordhavn 96 truly is the ideal boat for the yachtsman looking to step up his game. For one busy N86 owner looking to move up, it was the layout and roomy, separated crew quarters of the N96 – ideal for his full-time four-person crew – that cinched the deal over other similar-sized boats. The Nordhavn 96 gave him the bigger boat he needed and the brand he trusted.

  8. Nordhavn 75 Expedition Yachtfisher

    Nordhavn 75 Expedition Yachtfisher

    Request Price

Nordhavn has taken what it does best, building long-range luxury expedition yachts, and incorporated all the fishing features and rigging found on tournament sportfishers to create a yacht that can truly go after any fish in the world. An enormous fishing cockpit, dual 60-gallon baitwells, a 35-cubic-foot deep freeze, plentiful gear and tackle storage and all the rod holders and rigging a deep-sea angler could ever want top a long list of fishing features. The N75 EYF is safer in rough weather when sea conditions force a slower running speed, which is always a major downside to the typical small rudders found on sportfishers (the N75 EYF’s standard stabilizers also promise a comfortable ride in rough seas). Additionally, the EYF’s 22 -foot four-inch beam permits a new Nordhavn standard feature: twin engines. A single screw is not an option. The N75 EYF sports Detroit Series 60 diesels and a cruising-speed fuel burn of 12 to 15 gallons per hour – a trickle compared to a typical sportfisher built for nothing but speed with noisy behemoth diesels guzzling 100 to 200 gallons or more per hour. Another heavy advantage over typical sportfishers is there is no weight penalty for all the equipment and furnishings that make life grand. Dive equipment, jet skis, granite countertops, you name it – the N75 EYF’s full displacement hull allows you to load up with everything you need for fishing adventures that last for months, not hours. Like all Nordhavn yachts, the N75 EYF is a truly semi-custom boat. The interior can be designed to match an owner’s tastes and lifestyle.

  9. Bering 60

    Bering 60

    2021
    Request Price

The Bering 60 is part of the Exploration yacht series, built for long range cruising with a more contemporary styling. The Bering 60 has proven to be an exceptional cruising yacht with her heavy 180,000 pound (81 metric tons) displacement with 2,300 gallons ( 8,000 liters) of fuel to feed her efficient twin engine package provides her owners with excellent nonstop performance traveling thousands of miles with miserly fuel consumption to visit faraway destinations. Stepping aboard into the saloon, clean crisp lines and a greater use of fabrics and non-traditional woods suggest a more modern tone than typical full displacement trawlers. The use of large glass panels surrounding the saloon as well as the seamless transition between the saloon and galley creates a refreshingly open and airy feeling while aboard. The ultra contemporary settee provides comfortable seating on the port side as well as facing chairs alongside the entertainment center. A pop-up flat screen retracts down into the cabinet when not in use so as not to obstruct the view out the windows. Bering Yachts welcomes customer input which allows for greater flexibility in your layout choices. The accompanying layout renderings show just several of the stateroom options available to you. The master stateroom can be located either amidships for maximum volume or forward if a greater number of guest cabins are desired. If you wish to have professional crew aboard, then dedicated crew quarters can be configured near machinery spaces with their own private access way. The galley is a modern masterpiece, embracing a contemporary Euro design. The elevated dining table can seat up to six. Bering designers work with each client individually, selecting the appliances and galley fixtures that perfectly suit the intended interior styling theme. A wide selection of stone and synthetic counter surfaces can be chosen in addition to the flooring and cabinet materials. The pilothouse resides on the same level as the saloon and galley. The forward dash panel provides ample space for multiple large screen displays and leaves plenty of real estate for the owner’s selection of electronics, displays, and controls. Generously sized pilothouse windows both forward and to the sides provide an exceptional view. The upper flybridge steering station is accessed through the beautifully sculpted saloon staircase. The covered flybridge features an L-settee alongside the upper helm station as well as a day head and deck space to store a tender aft.

The corner settee and table are off to the starboard side with built in barrel chairs immediately aft. The entertainment center on the port side houses a pop-up flat screen, a nice touch that ensures an unobstructed view when not in use. Large but immensely strong saloon windows provide maximum views and natural lighting, maintaining a sense of openness while aboard. The galley is located just a few steps up in the aft pilothouse. The absence of a bulkhead ensures the cook is not isolated from the action in the saloon yet provides a separate dedicated meal prep area. Your choice of professional grade appliances can be installed as well as near infinite choices of materials for counter-tops, backsplashes, and other surfaces and fixtures. A large residential refrigerator can be installed or if you prefer, multiple drawer-units of refrigeration/freezers can be chosen. Bering’s design team works with each customer individually ensuring your yacht is uniquely built just the way you want. The lower deck staterooms can be configured in a number of ways thanks to the flexibility offered through the use of steel construction. The renderings and photographs illustrate several of the different layout options available. Should you wish to further customize the interior, say to maximize the sleeping space aboard, Bering can address those requirements with such features as stacked bunks and communal heads, or any combination therein. Bering is happy to entertain your input and will work hard to build the floor plan that is ideal for you.Above deck, there’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the ocean views and sea breeze. On the main outside deck you can choose to lounge either aft in the fully covered cockpit or up forward of the Portuguese bridge on the built in settee bench seats that offer a truly magnificent experience while underway. Up above, the flybridge deck offers more great space to relax and enjoy the sights as well as providing a second steering station. The lower aft deck of the flybridge has plenty of space to locate one or more tenders in addition to a powered davit crane to make tender launching and recovery effortless.Custom touches like built-in sinks, refrigeration and BBQ station can all be added as desired. Bering yachts, with their stunning interiors and beautifully finished hulls, are extremely capable and reliable ocean crossing vessels. Beyond using a time tested and proven hull design, all Bering yachts are built “heavy for size” which provides a particularly sea-kindly motion that very few if any recreational motor yachts are capable of delivering, at least without active stabilization. A carefully designed low center of gravity combined with the sheer mass of the vessel provides a reduction in roll moment and minimized pitching and pounding that so many find unpleasant. This “heavy for size” approach is well proven in the commercial marine market where vessel “weight” is really how one defines a vessel’s size as opposed to length. Note that the Bering 55 displaces almost 143,000 pounds (64 tons) at full load which is significantly more than her competitors! While at sea, one’s peace of mind is of utmost importance, which is why in addition to the hull & structural design, Bering puts great emphasis on the reliability of all the ship’s systems. Many builders use “recreational” grade components on board their boats for obvious reasons; they are less expensive and their customer’s use profile simply doesn’t demand top level commercial quality components be installed. Bering feels that any boat that is marketed as being “ocean going” needs to have only the best most proven equipment and components on board. To this end, Bering specifies only commercially rated and internationally sourced equipment on board all of their yachts. This strict adherence to professional grade equipment ensures the most trouble free experience possible while out cruising, and in the rare case that you do experience a component failure, parts will be readily available regardless of your locale.
