Overview
This 1980 Ta Chaio CT40, designed by Ron Holland, is a proven bluewater cruiser offering strength, balance, and timeless design. Built by Ta Chaio in Taiwan, she combines solid construction with a classic full-keel hull, making her exceptionally stable and comfortable at sea.
Rigged as a ketch with main, mizzen, jib, and genoa, she’s perfectly set up for versatile sail handling and balanced performance under all conditions. The hull, re-gelcoated in 2005, shows no blistering or structural issues, and all rigging was replaced in 2018 — she hasn’t been launched since that refit.
