The DALE 28 was conceived to meet the needs of both new as well as long standing DALE clients who wanted to downsize whilst retaining the sea keeping and quality to which they were accustomed. A large socialising space in the wheelhouse and cockpit area as well as a cabin for two plus occasional berths for a further two were top of their list. Putting everything that is special about a DALE into 28 feet was a challenge that we just couldn’t resist. After achieving the hull design to give the sea-keeping and ease of handling expected of a DALE, our next aim was to use the architecture to create a boat with spacious accommodation for two, the comfort of full standing headroom, a large wheelhouse and cockpit for total enjoyment of cruising, living on board and socialising. We build each boat bespoke for you and just like any other DALE, there is a sense of discreet luxury and attention to detail. She is the fruit of the partnership between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee and the Engineering department – the first Ferretti yacht with exterior design created with architect Filippo Salvetti, while the interiors are by our own in-house architects and designers. The Ferretti Yachts 670 is actually a 67-footer (measuring 20.24 m), albeit with amenities typical of rather larger craft. In the Contest 49CS, our first twin aft-cabin yacht at this length, we have developed something new, different and yet reassuringly consistent with Contest credentials. A natural step up from the Contest 42CS, and equal new step into the Contest range for sailors preferring their master suite forward and family or guest cabins in the back.And what cabins these are, they’re huge for the 50ft (15.5m) sector.
