1962. Classic Kim Holman designed Stella 26, built by Wright of Ipswich and fitted out to a high standard. Currently in the process of being professionally painted and varnished. Yanmar 1GM10 diesel. Sails new 2011.
Built in 1962. Wooden clinker construction of mahogany on oak. Long cast iron ballast keel, raked transom stern and keel hung rudder. Decks are of marine ply, recently re-canvassed and finished in cream deck paint. Cream painted topsides (2021) and varnished cabin sides. Aft cockpit, tiller steering and fractional sloop rig.

SAILS and RIG:
Roller or slab reefing mainsail with canvas mainsail cover. No 1 Genoa, No 1 Jib and spinnaker. (Mainsail and Genoa new 2011). Wooden mast and spars (mast has recently been stripped to bare wood and varnished) with stainless steel standing rigging.
Yanmar 1GM10 approx 10hp single cylinder inboard diesel engine. Raw water cooling system. Vetus fuel tank with a consumption per hour of between ¼ and ⅓ of a gallon at a cruising speed of about 4 knots. Alternator charging. Shaft drive to 3 blade right hand propeller.
2 x 12v batteries.
Cockpit cover, 2 sheet winches, anchor with chain, various mooring warps and fenders.
Plastimo bulkhead compass, Raymarine depth sounder, Raymarine VHF radio, Garmin 152 GPS, navigation lights, steaming light and tri colour masthead light.
Manual bilge pump, electric bilge pump.
Victory paraffin heater mounted on saloon bulkhead. Her galley has a spirit cooker with 2 burners. Blue fabric upholstery.
4 berths in 2 cabins including 2 settee berths in the saloon and berths in the forward cabin.
We have know "Mira" for many years as a good local boat, she has been updated and improved under past and present ownership. Her present owner is having her professionally repainted and varnished and this is near completion. She has been ashore for some years so will need time to take up when afloat but the local boatyard are well used to wooden boats.
