Accommodation

Very spacious and well-designed deep cabins affording generous headroom. She has three cabins. Aft cabin, a central wheelhouse/ shelter deck and fitted canopy, steering position. down forward into the saloon with fitted seating to port around a dining table opposite is the galley area with the upholstery finished in a gold patterned material carpeted and curtains throughout.  The saloon offers a small double berth and a large single berth.

The Heads compartment is located in the Forepeak and is fitted with a washbasin, marine toilet and shower. The yacht has a pressurised hot and cold water system with the hot water heated by the engines calorifier.

The aft cabin has hanging lockers and V berth that has an infill to make into a largedouble berth.

In the forepeak, there is a further cabin with a “V” berth which is really only meant for young children and currently has no cushions.  The galley is equipped with a 2 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, stainless steel sink with a hot and cold water supply and a 12v fridge.

Spars and Sails

The White Horse 38 is rigged as a masthead Ketch with Kemp deck stepped aluminium masts and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging replaced 2013. Terylene running rigging replaced 2013 and as required. Slab reefing mainsail and mizzen with lazyjacks and furling headsail.

Winches:

• 2 x Sheet winches, Lewmar 46 Self-tailing 
• 4 x Halyard winches, Maine

• 1 x Mainsail, condition good, last valeted 2013
• 1 x Foresail, condition good, last valeted 2013
• 1 x Mizzen, condition good, last valeted 2013
• 1 x Mizzen staysail, condition good, last valeted 2013

Mechanical Systems

Tis motorsailer is fitted with a Volvo Penta 60HP naturally aspirated diesel engine located under the wheelhouse floor. Freshwater cooled. It was last serviced in 2018. 280 Litre plastic fuel tank. It has a shaft drive to a 4 blade fixed bronze prop. She will cruise at 7 Knots and has a maximum speed of 9 knots and has a range of approx. 550 nautical miles.

2 x 12 volt batteries (1 x engine + 1 x domestic) charging from alternator and via 240v shore power system with ring main and battery charger

Construction

Built-in 11974 by White Horse Marina, Cumbria. Blue painted GRP over triple diagonal mahogany hull with white superstructure and teak decks. Centre cockpit. Cast iron ling fin keel. Last out of the water in 2018 when she was antifouled and anodes changed. Hull last re-painted in 2018, a number of seacocks also changed at the time and internally re-painted in 2020. She has been sailed to Holland, Belgium, Ireland and a long  UK South Coast The vessel has been owned by the current owner for the past 9 years.
