This is an owner-built Endurance 35 that was built in artisanal construction from 1981 to 2000 and launched in July 2001. Her hull and deck are of fiberglass construction with balsa core. Her masts are made of laminated pine construction. Uniquely, she has a dual helm layout with a full helm below that keeps the captain undercover during a storm.
The ENDURANCE 35 was designed in an international design competition organized by the late Amateur International Building Society (IABBS 's), where it won first prize in 1970.
