Description
This Cape Dory Typhoon is here at our showroom, and can be viewed anytime. It is presently covered for the coming season, but can be boarded and viewed. The sail inventory has a Main, Jib, and Genoa. The mainsail is a 2016 Neil Pride, and the other headsails original. The hull was repainted in 2016 as well. It also comes with a Mercury 4/HP outboard, and sits on its custom Triad trailer. Sail hardware includes the mainsail cover, and Schaefer headsail furling
The 1981 Cape Dory Typhoon, “America's littlest Yacht”, is one of the most popular sailboats ever built. The Typhoon is a joy to sail for beginners and experts alike. Carl Alberg designed her that way. The Typhoon's full keel with 900 Ibs. of molded-in ballast gives the Typhoon the feel of a larger boat, with the steadiness and stability not found in many larger designs.
