Description
This beautiful de Jong 11.60 AK is specifically built for long journeys. The current owners had it built with that thought in mind. Since its launch, the ship has always been stored in the hall from September to the end of April and sailed from May to the end of August, each time on a longer trip.
To enjoy undisturbed, all aspects were considered during construction, and there are many clever solutions on this ship.
On board, you enter through the mid-openings. The spacious aft deck can be used to enjoy the view all around. Through the hatch, you step into the salon, where several things immediately stand out; there is no standard "boat bench" but a beautiful leather sofa, which brings a homely feeling, there is a lovely teak parquet floor, and the interior steering position is 'modular' built. It looks robust and has the advantage that if you want to install new screens or meters, you won't have annoying holes in your dashboard.
At the back is the master cabin with a shower room. A spacious bed of 1.60 by 2.00 and in the wet cell, there is only a shower and sink. The shower is 80 x 80 with a lockable door.
The toilet is located in front of the salon and the pantry, close to the guest cabin. The pantry is spacious with many storage options and a dinette to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning.
Under the salon floor lies the 6-cylinder Mitsubishi under a very well-insulated floor, which minimizes engine noise. The floor under this engine is so clean that you could eat off it. (By the way, the entire interior is so well protected that rust will have no chance. Furthermore, all (electrical) components in the engine room are easily accessible.
This ship has been very well thought out and is ready to make many beautiful journeys with a new owner for years to come.
