General
The Yacht is to be of an all welded construction. All scantlings are to be self-draining.
The structure is to be dimensioned with due regard to local and global stresses as well as vibration response. Attention is to be paid to the detail design of structural components with a view to avoid unnecessary stress concentrations and fatigue related failures.
The Yacht is to be transversely and longitudinally framed. Provisionally, a frame spacing of 500 mm has been adopted throughout in combination with longitudinal stiffeners. A preliminary amidships section drawing is provided based upon preliminary calculation, during the detailed structural design phase all scantlings will be finalised.
All scantlings are to be in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Classification Society.
Subject to approval by the Naval Architect, the proposed structural concept may be modified to suit Builder’s preferences for alternative structural arrangements.

Technical Specifications
It is the Builder’s responsibility to distribute the Technical Specifications (or parts of it) to the parties concerned with the design and / or supply of material / equipment for the construction of the Yacht.
The Technical Specifications have been prepared by the office of Vripack Yachting International Naval Architects, Sneek, The Netherlands.
Any queries, questions, clarifications and/or modifications regarding the content of the Technical Specifications should be directed to the Architect’s Project Manager at the above office.
Any item not mentioned in the Technical Specifications and / or in the General Arrangement Plan and Associated Drawings, but required by the Statutory Authorities, Classification Society or simply required for the safe and reliable operation of the yacht, shall be included in the scope of supply of the Builder.
The Builder is to supply, fit and deliver all the items of material and equipment required to fulfil the scope of the Technical Specifications, and the General Arrangement Plan and Associated Drawings.
Any one article / item listed under several headings in the Technical Specifications and which logically supplied only once, shall be supplied / fitted / delivered once.
Where specific requirements are stated, the Builder may propose, within the framework of the Technical Specifications, equivalent alternatives.
The Builder is expected to conform to the established levels of quality and workmanship as laid down in the Technical Specifications and the General Arrangement Plan and Associated Drawings.
