37’ BARRIE FARRELL DESIGNED TRAWLER – 1974
Powered with a 2012 Rebuilt 130 HP Perkins Diesel Engine – 1728 Hours , work done by Steveston Marine.
Out of the water in August 2025 for an insurance survey. Bottom cleaned, and zincs replaced.
The Farrell design is ubiquitous to the BC coast, and one can expect to see a Farrell in virtually every marina in BC. These solid fibreglass hulled boats have stood the test of time.
"RUBY MARIE" is a 37-foot Trawler Yacht, originally built of molded GRP in 1974 as a
commercial fishing vessel by the Farrell Boat Co. Ltd. (CDN) and later converted to use as a
pleasure craft by the current owner. The hull has a flared bow, single chines with rolling chocks,
modified V underbody and transom stern. The layout of the interior consists of a forepeak V berth,
followed by the main cabin with lower helm and galley port, raised dinette starboard and access to
the machinery space beneath the cabin sole. The aft cabin follows with settee starboard, enclosed
head and utility area port. The main cabin is surmounted by an enclosed bridge deck with second
helm station.
