Description
The ORC 42, also known as the TS 42, is the flagship model of the Marsaudon Composites shipyard. This performance catamaran has won the hearts of sailors the world over, from Europe to Japan, thanks to its light weight, ease of handling and exceptional performance. The ORC 42 is recognized as a versatile, high-performance boat, designed to provide a thrilling experience at the helm while guaranteeing safe sailing.
Number 26 in the series and the last ORC 42 ever produced by Marsaudon, Saoufé is now available after just one season of sailing in the Mediterranean. Marsaudon having ceased production of this model, it represents a unique opportunity to acquire a very recent boat, offering an exceptional opportunity for enthusiasts of high-performance multihulls.
The ORC 42 is designed for fast sailors. Its epoxy-foam sandwich structure offers optimum rigidity while reducing overall weight, enabling top-level performance even in light wind conditions.
Saoufé is equipped with a superb set of Incidence Hydranet sails, renowned for their durability and excellent performance, as well as a Mylar gennaker to take full advantage of downwind sailing. For maneuvering, the boat is equipped with five winches, including an electric one, making trimming easy even for a small crew. For the same ease of use, this ORC is also available in a keel version.
In terms of electronics, this boat features an advanced NKE navigation system, with a high-precision autopilot, ideal for sailors wishing to combine comfort and performance.
Comfort and autonomy were not forgotten. A spacious, light-filled interior, with an owner's cabin, two guest cabins and well-thought-out fittings to ensure optimum comfort on board. Equipped with a lithium battery pack, offering good energy capacity for long voyages.
To guarantee maximum autonomy, 660 watts of solar panels provide sufficient renewable energy for onboard electronic and comfort equipment. A Schenker watermaker, capable of producing 100 liters of fresh water per hour, guarantees freshwater autonomy, ideal for extended cruises or in remote areas.
