Custom Tug

It's rare to find a tug of the vintage in such excellent condition.  The original owner and builder operated her on the upper Columbia River until 2017, and the most recent owner kept her out of the water the majority of the time over the last 6 years.

The tug was in good condition when purchased in 2019 but need much needed renewal and attention.  The owner placed the vessel in the capable hands of Modutech Marine and worked closely with the team to address any and all needs.  The goal was to ensure vessel integrity, reliability, safely and upgrading of systems.   We wanted to maintain her commercial pedigree even though she would not be registered as commercial Sub Chapter M USCG tugboat.  Significant thought and expense have gone into getting her back to like new condition and position her for her future usage.  She is easily transported by truck.   

The owner retained the services of hull thickness nondestructive testing firm and two completed marine surveys . The hull integrity was excellent, and no issues noted.  The survey's results were also excellent, and any issues identified where properly addressed . The owner hired a recognized and industry professional to conduct a complete electrical survey.   Therese reports could be offered to a serious potential buyer.  The owner has complied with a comprehensive list of work completed to the tug.
