The Jeanneau 43 DS (Deck Saloon) series was designed by Daniel Andrieu for the Yacht Charter Trade and Family Cruising. Two models were offered, the two cabin model with center line aft King bed and the three cabin layout with two aft doubles and the forward stateroom with private head. This model is the three cabin plan with over/under bunks in the forward stateroom for kids or separate accommodations for the dog and cat. The 43 DS has Port side aft head shared by the aft cabins with an enormous shower. The inside views are astounding, 180 d visibility from the main saloon.
This yacht benefits from a refit done in 2015 & 2016 receiving new windows, upholstery, new cabin sole and several other updates. Receipts available for viewing.
The 43 DS is deceptive in her dock appearance Vs Performance. First impressions are usually “nice looking boat”. Get her sailing and she’s all business, she’s remarkably fast for a “cruising” boat. In mast main and roller furling jib provides plenty of power and ease of putting them away when it’s time to head for the dock or anchorage. The sails are in great shape.
She received new keel fairing and AF paint last summer and is pretty much ready to go sailing, if you hurry, you could go cruising in September when the anchorages and dock space opens up. Available in Anacortes for inspection.
