Invoices / Maintenance / Repairs

The boat has been completely disarmed each year (including sails) with all equipment stored dry, rinsing of deck maneuvers (+/- lines). The various elements of the equipment have been subject to careful inspection and maintenance, and if necessary, replacement. The standing rigging is original and regularly visually checked. Winterizing and engine maintenance have been mainly professional, except for a few times when the owner took care of winterizing to have a minimal technical knowledge of the engine in case of problems. The exchanger and exhaust elbow were removed and cleaned in 2018. They were replaced in 2023. The Volvo shaft seal was replaced in 2018 and is lubricated every year, the Gori propeller was serviced and rebalanced by the manufacturer in 2018. A complete refit of the underwater works was carried out in 2024 by a professional yard: sandblasting, general inspection, minor repairs on gelcoat, repair of lamination on the grounding shoe Tb, protection with 3 layers of epoxy and antifouling). Replacement of the entire system of drift lines Ø 12 mm: 10 m red / 7 m green in 2020. Owner's boat purchased first hand with special requests such as the kitchen countertop in Corian, never transited, never rented, never damaged.

Owner's opinion

We ordered our Feeling 39, Nanuk-Bras, during the summer of 2010. We had a very personalized specification, built over our many years of sailing, both as owners and in charter. We wanted a sailboat with recognized marine qualities, a full keel for the freedom it brings in discovering anchorages and grounding spots that we are fond of. Sailing mainly as a couple, we wanted a two-cabin version, with a rear storage area and independent toilets; also a return to the cockpit of all maneuvers; finally, a Corian kitchen for its rot-proof properties. We also wanted to benefit from a rear arch allowing the storage of a semi-rigid dinghy and supporting solar panels and a wind turbine. Finally, we wanted a Refleks stove installed in the saloon, completely independent of the electrical system. For 15 years, most of our summer vacations have been spent on board, along the French coasts, from the island of Oléron to the Bay of Somme, as well as discovering the SW and E coasts of Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, the SE coast of England to the Isle of Wight, and in the last two years the islands and lochs of Scotland that took us to Stornoway. Throughout these years, Nanuk-Bras has provided us with all the comfort, safety, and versatility we expected. It is certainly not a racing boat, it needs a bit of breeze and close-hauled is not its favorite point of sail, but it lengthens its stride as soon as it has air in the sails and remains very safe when the wind picks up. Finally, it has benefited from uncompromising maintenance every year.
