FOR SALE: SKUTSJE FROM 1904 – ON HOPE OF BLESSING

(comfortable ship in particularly good condition)

Due to new adventures on the owner's path, unfortunately, there is too little time left for sailing and for this reason, it has been decided to sell the ship.

The seller has mainly sailed in Friesland, Drenthe, and Overijssel and enjoyed all the beauty that the Netherlands has to offer from the water.

On Hope of Blessing is a beautifully lined, handy skûtsje from 1904 with a gable roof and a spacious interior with a standing height of 1.80 m. In recent years, a lot has been invested in upgrading the interior. This has resulted in a comfortable and atmospheric decor that is equipped with all conveniences.

Layout:

Upon entering the cabin, there is a kitchen on the starboard side equipped with a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator, hot and cold water, followed by a cozy seating area with a corner sofa and plenty of storage space. In 2023, a Kabola central heating boiler was installed, allowing you to enjoy a wonderfully warm interior on the water even on colder days.

Behind the seating area is a large, comfortable bed measuring 220 x 180 cm. This is separated from the seating area by light in-between curtains. These provide a combination of privacy and a nice, natural light. By opening the in-between curtains, the sleeping-relaxation area is connected to the seating area. A lovely spot for reading a book. With the swivel television, watching TV is possible from both the seating area and the bed.

Behind the sleeping area is a compact but practical shower room with toilet and designer radiator. The shower has a strong water jet due to the hydro pump, and the toilet is flushed with a hand pump.

Behind the "crawl door" is the forepeak with another 2 beds, one double bed and one single bed. Unique are the two still authentic bed alcoves (suitable for small children).

The Hoop Van Zegen is 16.5 meters long, and to sail this, a sailing license 1 is required. The skûtsje is easy to operate, sails beautifully and vibration-free with a cruising speed of 1200 revolutions and 8 km per hour.

The solar panels together provide 250 watts in combination with two onboard batteries and the starter battery, making this boat also ideal for comfortable stays in the great outdoors.

The skûtsje has always been well maintained. The exterior will be provided with a new paint job in June 2024. There is no mast and rigging with the skûtsje, but the attachment points for this are still present.

The boat is partially insulated (cabin) and heated by a central heating system. The engine room is not insulated.

For continuous habitation, it is advisable to optimize the insulation.
