1965 J.E. Byers Tempo 17’ flat bottom boat

Built in Southern California during a time when quality built ,flat bottom boats were the ski and race boats that dominated the lakes. The Byers hulls were known for their robust and reliable construction and they were successful as both race boats and sporting ski boats. It’s a fiberglass/wood high performance hull design that was powered by a Holman and Moody 427 side-oiler Ford FE motor. As we purchased the boat for the motor (we needed it for a period Holman Moody stock car build), it does not come with a motor but has all the correct fittings for the Ford FE motor. It includes rare HM marine parts. The hull, resin, wood, etc are in excellent condition. This boat just needs to be fitted with a motor and it’s ready to join other vintage flat bottoms on the lake. Very unusual to find one in this unmolested condition. It comes with a cool period trailer with original wheels and modified vintage Ford hubcaps.
