Description
Beautiful Riva Olympic specimen, hull number 4 built in 1968 and delivered to the first owner in 1969 in Germany, in Breyell. The boat is in perfect condition, equipped with an original Riva Crusader engine of 220 HP (at 4,000 RPM) with 8 V-shaped cylinders at 90°. Ready to sail, the bottom was rebuilt last year 2024, the sides and deck are original (restored to perfection) and in perfect condition. Original in all its parts, the steel has been polished to a mirror finish, and the upholstery is like new. Every accessory is original, especially the very beautiful RIVA VDO instruments typical of the early series and elegant, as they symbolize Riva's production during Ing. Carlo's presence in the yard. It is a very comfortable, spacious, practical, and safe boat, ideal for day trips and for water skiing. It comes with many accessories including a sunshade with a tubular steel structure that is very convenient at anchor during sunny days.
Accessories: Life jackets, sailor's half, tarps and cushions with Riva logo embroidery, two anchors, life buoy, flag pole, bathing ladder, water ski tube, fuel measuring stick.
New blue Riva tarp, new cover with the number 4 and the Olympic symbol (with the 5 rings referring to the 1968 Olympics, a reference to Riva's choice of name).

A bit of history of the Riva Olympic!
Riva Olympic – Functional elegance, sporting spirit
The Riva Olympic was introduced in 1968 in response to the demands of a clientele looking for a more practical and versatile boat, but without sacrificing the refinement of the Riva brand. Designed by Carlo Riva, this model takes its name from the Mexico City Olympics, held in the same year, reflecting the modern and dynamic spirit that characterizes the boat.
Produced in 271 units between 1968 and 1979 (with no. 264 as the last registered), the Olympic represents a perfect synthesis of craftsmanship tradition and contemporary functionality. It is considered the natural successor to the Super Florida, with which it shares the tapered bow, but it stands out for its deep V hull and more pronounced hull lines that ensure stable and smooth navigation even in rough seas.
Main features:
Length: 6.52 m
Width: 2.25 m
Engine: Generally equipped with a Riva-Crusader engine of 220 HP
Maximum speed: About 72 km/h
Seating capacity: Up to 6 people
Materials: Fine woods such as mahogany selected for the sides and deck
Instrumentation: Elegant VDO instruments with black dials and turquoise numbers (in the early series)
Usage: Ideal for family outings, water skiing, fishing
The Olympic stands out for its versatility: perfect for a family day out, it is agile enough for water skiing and solid enough for daily use. It was one of the last models entirely made of wood to withstand the advent of fiberglass, confirming the tenacity of the classic charm signed Riva.
