Description
Cammenga Shuttle – De Vries Project | Total Certified Refit
Elegant Cammenga shuttle, designed and crafted by the renowned De Vries, characterized by timeless classic lines, a round stern, and a construction typical of large ships: solid, seaworthy, and designed for demanding navigation.
The current owner purchased the vessel in 2015 and, starting in 2016, initiated a deep and radical refit, aiming to bring the boat to an extreme quality standard, superior to the original. The result is a completely rebuilt unit, technically and structurally, now comparable to a new boat.
Structural and Technical Refit
Among the most significant interventions carried out:
- Cutting and complete reconstruction of the superstructure, with lengthening, new layout, and new distribution of internal spaces
- Structural doubling on the hull where necessary
- Complete reconstruction of daily and weekly fuel tanks, fresh water tanks, black water, and gray water tanks
- Certification of all welds performed by RINA engineer
- Total reconstruction of hydraulic and electrical systems, with related certifications
- Installation of 2 new engines with gearboxes
- Reconstruction of the propellers, designed for the best balance between power and efficiency
- Installation of a new ONAN generator of 20 kW
- Installation of a new stabilizer fin system
- Installation of a Vetus bow thruster
- Complete reconstruction of all insulation, for maximum comfort and acoustic insulation
- New Opacmare hydraulic gangway
- New Opacmare crane for launching and hauling the tender
Interiors and Comfort
- Complete reconstruction of all cabins: owner's, guest, and crew
- Materials, finishes, and solutions designed for maximum comfort while sailing and at anchor
- Bright, rational environments designed down to the smallest detail
Exteriors
- New solid teak on the main deck and upper deck
- Spacious outdoor areas, typical of ocean-going shuttles, ideal for long stays on board
Final Considerations
The vessel has been completely redone, with complete tax and photographic documentation of all the work carried out.
It is equipped for very long voyages, with an extremely wide range and a reliability rarely found on the market.
A unique unit, for experienced owners looking for a classic, robust, elegant shuttle that is practically new, without the time and costs of new construction.
