Description
ARMA di RE – Hallberg Rassy 42E / 1983 hull n. 62 - is a custom boat.
In fact, it leaves the shipyard with a ketch rig but later the rig is replaced with a more modern mast in sloop configuration.
Additionally, the dolphin striker from the HR41 is installed and at the stern, there is a generous swim platform with an integrated ladder for scuba operations.
The boat has had 4/5 owners including the current one who purchased it at the end of 2017.
From 2019 to 2022/3 the boat was kept on land and an intensive refitting was carried out that touched the entire vessel, equipment, and systems.
During the refit, every system and installation was checked and maintained.
Among the most important works, it is noted: the deck which saw the removal of the teak and the creation of a modern glossy white non-slip deck (the deck was insulated with epoxy resin and fiberglass after replacing the mast base).
The original engine has been completely rebuilt to zero hours with the complete replacement of every part and accessory except for the engine block, shaft, and cylinder head. The shaft line was also checked.
The rudder and its shafts and components were disassembled and checked.
The hull was brought to gelcoat and before applying the self-polishing antifouling, 5 coats of epoxy primer (Nautilus / Cecchi) were applied.
The primary DC system has been completely redone. The batteries were moved from the aft cabin to the starboard settee of the dinette.
As mentioned, every piece of equipment or system on board has been disassembled, checked, maintained, and reassembled.
