Description
Offered under a three-year lease-to-own structure with zero interest, AVENTURER presents an opportunity to acquire a pedigreed Dutch motor yacht with global cruising credentials and a freshly modernized profile. Built by Jongert in 1986 to German Lloyds classification, this 85-foot yacht is a product of exacting craftsmanship, with more than 40,000 man-hours dedicated to the interior alone. Her steel-and-aluminum construction, robust systems, and purposeful design have carried her safely across both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans under her own power.
What sets AVENTURER apart is the combination of Dutch shipyard heritage and a thoughtful $2 million refit completed in 2021 that transformed her into a yacht that feels simultaneously classic and contemporary. Her profile is striking, finished in a Flag Blue hull repaint (2020), with elegant lines. Beneath the surface, she’s been consistently upgraded, with bottom coatings renewed in 2023 and November 2024, major Caterpillar service in March 2024, and a hull ultrasound confirming excellent steel condition in early 2024.

INTRODUCTION
Built for self-sufficiency, AVENTURER is equipped with 2 x Caterpillar 3306 BTA diesel engines (250 HP each), twin Northern Lights generators (33KW and 15KW), a Sea Recovery 80 GPH watermaker, and six Mastervolt AGM batteries. Her 3,000nm range, redundant systems, and walk-in engine room reflect the foresight and seaworthiness more commonly found in much larger expedition yachts.
Inside, the main salon and galley were redesigned to reflect a clean, open aesthetic with custom finishes, white countertops, and a six-person dining table. The galley is fully equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, Fisher & Paykel dishwashers, and thoughtful additions like a custom stainless XL sink and privacy panel for discreet service.
She accommodates 10 guests in four staterooms, plus separate crew quarters and a media room that converts to a queen berth, offering exceptional flexibility for private or charter use. A full entertainment suite includes Samsung TVs throughout, plus Starlink connectivity, PEP Wave Wi-Fi, and KVH TracVision UHD 7.
The aft deck invites relaxed gatherings with a wet bar, custom teak dining table for 12, and a day head tucked beneath the stairwell. Ambient white and blue lighting, a Fusion sound system, and JL Audio speakers complete the experience. Above, the flybridge is a destination in itself, with four helm chairs, Garmin nav electronics, custom teak helm pod, built-in lounges, a grill station, freezer, and a retractable TUUCI umbrella. A 20-foot tender deck with a 2,000-lb davit adds utility for extended adventures.

RECENT IMPROVEMENTS
Flybridge (2021–2024)
The flybridge was fully refurbished as part of the 2021 refit. At the helm, the expansive flybridge features four comfortable Todd Captain’s chairs, a built-in space for a Yeti cooler, and state-of-the-art navigation electronics mounted on a custom teak helm pod, along with a JL Audio sound system. The bimini top was replaced in 2024. Moving aft, there are four lounge chairs for enjoying time in the sun. Further aft are two built-in seating areas, each with its own custom teak table. Covering the aft section of the flybridge is a large expandable and retractable TUUCI umbrella, bolted directly into the yacht’s aluminum superstructure.
Continuing aft is a grill station equipped with a custom butler’s teak table, storage cabinets, and a large freezer for provisions during extended cruising. Adjacent to the grill area is the 20 ft tender storage space, surrounded by ample room for additional toys. The tender is serviced by a 2,000 lb. lift, which was rebuilt in 2021.
Aft Deck
The aft deck was thoughtfully redesigned during the 2021 refit and features a full wet bar, a day head, and a stairwell leading to the flybridge. The day head is located beneath the stairwell and includes a wash sink and vanity. The bar is outfitted with custom teak cabinetry, a liquor closet, an ice maker, a sink, and a wine fridge. A beautiful custom teak dining table comfortably seats 12 guests. The aft deck is further enhanced by elegant white and blue dimmable lighting and a JL Audio sound system with Fusion control.
Day head, ice maker, (x2) wine fridges, sink, bar closet, trash can, stereo system.
Galley
The galley was completely redesigned in 2021, featuring all-new white countertops and a custom six-person dining table. The space includes all the creature comforts of a luxury home, including a fuel-burning stove.
Hull & Deck
The hull sides were fully repainted Flag Blue in 2020. During the comprehensive 2021 refit, the bottom was sandblasted and recoated with new bottom paint, the flybridge tender deck received new paint and non-skid, and interior paneling was refreshed and repainted white. Additional bottom paint coatings were applied in 2023 and again in 11/2024.
Construction
AVENTURER underwent a hull ultrasound during her yard period in 03/2024, with results confirming that hull thickness remains in excellent condition. The hull is constructed with 8mm welded steel keel plating, 6mm and 8mm welded steel bottom plating, and 5mm topside plating. Hull framing consists of 180mm x 80mm x 8mm bottom longitudinal, 75mm x 8mm topside longitudinal, and 75mm x 8mm transverse framing on 400mm centers, with 8mm stringers welded to the frames. Integral tanks within the hull envelope contribute additional structural integrity.
The vessel features five watertight bulkheads. The main deck is constructed of 5mm welded steel plate with 120mm x 80mm x 8mm longitudinal framing and 75mm x 8mm transverse framing.
