Description

An iconic classic trawler, the GB42 Classic has traditional lines, folding mast, teak decks, high bow, full keel, and hard chines. Arguably the most successful trawler design of all time, it's complete with two-staterooms, two heads, full galley, and saloon. The full teak interior is found in marinas all over the world and easily spotted on the ICW or Great Loop. The twin Cummins make her easy to handle without the need of a thruster. Beautiful brightwork, and reglassed bottom in 2022.

Easily board via port or starboard boarding gates to wide walkways or via swim platform and transom gate to aft deck. Beautiful bright work and teak decks all around. Access to master stateroom from aft deck, and steps to sun deck, dinghy on davits and steps up to Bimini covered flybridge. From the wide walkways there are doors port and starboard to enter the saloon/galley and lower helm. Large built in L shaped settee and expandable table starboard. Port has galley with four Vitrifrigo refrigerator/freezer drawers, large stainless sink, two burner glass top stove and closeted microwave. Aft is built in buffet and entertainment area. Four large opening windows, three panel front windshield, new headliner with teak accents, teak parquet sole and opening window aft. Custom window treatments throughout. Aft down three steps to master stateroom with walk around queen, built in drawers, hanging locker and desk, opening windows port and starboard, and door access to aft deck. Split head with shower starboard with opening portlight and head port with toilet, vanity sink and opening window. Forward to guest stateroom with reupholstered v berth and filler cushion, hanging locker, opening portlights and opening overhead hatch. Ensuite head with vanity sink, toilet, shower and opening portlight. From the aft deck, up steps to flybridge with Bimini top, L shaped settee starboard, two aft facing bench seats and forward facing Captain's and mate's seats, and upper helm. Teak sole and canvas covers.

Broker's Comments

A well-dressed two-engine trawler that's great for coastal cruising and the Great Loop. The mast is easily lowered with two people and minimal force due to the block and tackle system. With experience I would venture to say could be done by a single person. Engine room feels spacious for a twin screw, with newer generator and fuel polishing system pushed aft in the layout. Exterior brightwork is in great condition. The entire vessel shows beautifully. A must see for any potential trawler owner.
