"Merlin" has been owned by her current owners for 25 years and has been cared for by a meticulous yachtsman.
Camano yachts outclass other similarly sized "trawlers" in their ability to handle challenging conditions. They perform remarkably comfortably and efficiently at speeds between 12 and 16 knots. Every aspect of the boat's design speaks simplicity and reliability.
She was hauled, bottom painted and zincs replaced in September 2025, and is ready to go cruising.
Layout
"Merlin" has a large master stateroom forward has a large V-berth and filler cushion. Her U-shaped galley aft to port with opening portlight above sink. Her head is equipped with an electric toilet, mirror, sink and vanity and shower opposite to starboard. Up one step from the galley to salon. Fully equipped lower helm station forward to starboard with upholstered captain's seat. She has a settee with dining table aft to port that offers 360º visibility. Diamond/Sea-Glaze sliding windows provide ample natural light and ventilation. Very bright and airy! 6'+ headroom throughout. Two hinged hatches with gas-assist shocks in salon sole provide convenient access to engine room. From salon, through hinged door with screen in aft bulkhead to the fully enclosed cockpit with sunshade. She has a spacious lazarette beneath cockpit sole. Centerline transom door opens to large swim platform. She has a hot and cold fresh water shower in the cockpit. From cockpit up four step vertical ladder to port to flybridge. Flybridge features a full enclosure for year around cruising in the Pacific Northwest, and features a centerline helm with captain's seat and two flanking companion seats.
