1997 Boston Whaler 24 Outrage Overview

Specifically the mid to late 90s Whaler Outrage models have proven to have decent range and incredible seakeeping characteristics allowing them to run on equal footing with modern contemporaries. Peter Van Lancker is a prominent marine designer known for transitioning Boston Whaler from their "classic" shallow-V/smirk hull designs to more modern, deep-V hulls in the early 1990s. As a key figure in boat design and later president of Hunt Yachts, his work at Boston Whaler focused on creating softer-riding, more efficient, and structurally sound hulls, that offered better performance in rough, offshore conditions. Van Lanker often collaborated with Raymond Hunt & Associates(creators of the Bertram 31 and original Deep-V Hull design). Raymond Hunt is credited as being the guy who made speed, stability and handling an everyday part of powerboating.
