In the past 2 years, this Privateer has undergone a thorough refit, notably that the ship is now electrically powered by a system from Greenmarine. Although this ship, with its strong Perkins diesel, was already fantastic to sail, this adjustment has elevated the sailing pleasure to an even higher level. The tranquility and silence, yet also the power with which the drive package now propels the ship, are a breath of fresh air and a joy to sail with.
The Greenmarine system includes, among other things, a Greenmarine 35 KW electric motor, a 48V Lithium battery pack (8 batteries), and a 5KVA generator as a range extender.
In addition to the propulsion, a series of improvements have been made during the refit;
The entire electrical system on board has been modernized, everything can be operated with touch buttons and a touchscreen. Of course, the modern engine control and joystick for the bow and stern thruster also included a completely new dashboard with all the Simrad equipment you could wish for.
The windows were replaced in 2023 with Topwindows, plastic window frames with double glazing.
Bow and stern thruster renewed in 2024, 2 x 76 KGF from Vetus. 4 new batteries. Proportional control with joystick.
The underwater hull was blasted and epoxy-coated in 2024. Naturally, it is also equipped with new antifouling and anodes.
