Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised for Cat B (Offshore – for 8 persons.)

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP hull, deck & superstructure.
• Blue GRP hull, white superstructure.
• All glass fibre construction is laminated by hand using isophthalic gelcoat and clear resins.
• Extensive network of longitudinal and transverse stringers.
• High-density balsa core and ply deck reinforcing.
• Teak laid aft cockpit deck and seat cappings.
• Non-slip paint to side and fore decks.
• Aluminium window frames.
• Heavy-duty D-section rubber fendering to hull topsides.
• Massive varnished and glazed teak concertina aft doors. 
• Topsides and cabin sides cleaned and polished July 2025.
• Hull re-antifouled and all anodes renewed July 2025.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Caterpillar 3116 inline six-cylinder 350HP 4-stroke cycle diesel engine.
• Straight-six 6.6 litre cubic capacity diesel, with turbocharger and aftercooler, delivering 350 horsepower @ 2800 RPM.
• Mechanical engine management.
• Single lever management and controls.
• Direct shaft drive via Twin Disc MG5050 marine transmission.
• New engine exhaust hose and Halyard mixer box replaced August 2025.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours – c.4500 at July 2025. 
• Engine last serviced – July 2025 (belts replaced, gearbox oil, engine oil & coolant and filters renewed).
• Annual servicing regardless of hours run.
• Cruising speed – approx. 15 knots, maximum speed – approx. 19 knots.
• Quoted consumption: c. 25 lph @ 2000RPM. 

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• Shaft drive to 5 bladed bronze propeller (propeller cleaned, polished and re-coated July 2025).
• Spare 4 bladed propeller stored in starboard cockpit locker.
• Hydraulic steering.
• Upgraded Vetus bow thruster.

• 24V DC domestic system with 220V ring main from shorepower.

• Central raised double berth (with sprung mattress) and side access steps.
• Hanging locker to port, cream curtains, eye-level storage lockers and large locker at foot of berth, with storage voids and thruster access beneath berth.
• Heating outlets.
• Three opening port-lights and overhead deck access hatch with blind.
• Access to anchor locker via forward bulkhead hatch.

 

Heads (forward to starboard):

• Oval wash basin inset into white corner surround, tiled floor with automatic pump out to shower area.
• Easily maintained white bulkheads with varnished timber trim. 
• Opening port-light, white curtain, mirror, shower riser rail with umbilical shower.
• Storage lockers and access to holding tank. 
• Marine WC set on plinth, with electric flushing.

Dinette:

• Seating for four on raised seating (two facing benches) around an adjustable height table (easily converts to an occasional double berth), two opening port-lights with cream curtains.

• Located opposite the dinette with a varnished timber work surface and numerous eye-level, lower-level lockers and drawers.
• A stainless-steel bowl sink is inset with a stainless-steel mixer tap.

• Three easy steps up from galley/dinette area – with fitted sideboard to port and comfortable j-shaped seating for four to starboard.

• Secondary a large "Fortress" type aluminium Anchor complete with 5-6 metres of chain and 60’ of large warp.
• 6 heavy-duty mooring bollards in polished stainless steel.
• Fairleads to bow bollard set.
• D-section rubber fendering.
• Extended bathing platform in stainless steel and teak, with removable stainless-steel staple for supporting dinghy and to ease boarding.
• Extending bathing ladder to starboard of platform (sets at an angle to promote ease of boarding).

 

Covers, Canvas & Cushions:

• Full aft deck enclosure covers in Navy blue canvas.
• Blue upholstered vinyl aft cockpit seat cushions.

Safety Equipment

• Zodiac Racing Super 4-person life raft (service due).

 

Fire-Fighting Equipment:

• HFC-227 automatic engine room fire extinguishing system (in date until 2026 – exact date TBC).
• Handheld extinguishers throughout the accommodation areas (last service dates - 2024).
