Description
“Four Seasons” is hull #70 of the legendary Nordhavn 46 model. Her asking price fairly reflects her level of equipment, post-factory customization, and the care and maintenance taken by her owners, and her equipment specification has kept her current for extended cruising in any Latitude. Pride of ownership is apparent in every space.
While she is particularly well equipped for high latitude cruising, the equipment complement - custom anchor roller for nesting two self-launching anchors, hydronic heat, and extended boat deck - would serve well in any region or trans-oceanic passage.
The interior layout is owner’s stateroom-forward, guest cabin midship.
Soft goods include bed linens, window shades in the main salon, as well as dishes in the galley.
On deck, the extended boat deck is unique to “Four Seasons”. It extends to the transom, which adds to the ease of handling the tender when launching or retrieving, and also provides a secure anchor point for the canvas cockpit enclosure.
Reading through the specifications below will show that many of the longer interval maintenance items have been addressed.
If you are one who has lamented the cessation of the Nordhavn 46 production, consider this singular example. “Four Seasons” is comfortable, cruise-ready, and a yacht to make you a proud owner.
Overview
ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT
Enter the salon through the aft sliding door from the cockpit. A custom reverse L-shaped dinette settee is to port, and a moveable table and chairs are located to starboard. The table can be expanded to serve the port settee, to accommodate eight diners. Forward in the salon, a galley counter athwartship to port divides the galley work area from the salon. There is a Force 10, propane stove and oven, and two, very efficient Vitrifrigo AC/DC refrigerator and freezer drawer units, installed in 2015.
Steps at the starboard forward end of the salon lead up to the pilothouse. Steps down just off the centerline lead into the passageway forward. To port in the passageway is the entrance to the second stateroom with its over and under bunks. There is a hanging locker, and nice work desk connected to the inboard side of the longitudinal bulkhead.
Aft in the mid-cabin is engine room access. The dry stack exhaust muffler and insulation blanket were replaced as well.
The guest head with separate stall shower is across the passageway to starboard. The owner’s head with separate stall shower is just forward of that.
At the forward end of the passageway is the owner’s stateroom. There is a centerline queen bed with port and starboard access, as well as locker stowage port and starboard, a changing seat aft and to port, and a vanity with mirror aft.
The pilothouse is configured as a command center and a gathering place. The instrument console has plenty of surface area for the comprehensive array of electronics. Aft, is the raised settee and dinette, offering a comfortable watch keeping vantage point and gathering place while underway. A pilot berth is above and aft of the settee backrest.
The deck layout includes the usual Nordhavn features including the Portuguese bridge wrapping around the forward end of the pilothouse, bulwarks on the foredeck, and a raised boat deck aft of the pilothouse.

OWNER’S STATEROOM – FORWARD
The “owner stateroom-forward” is perhaps the more popular of the two Nordhavn 46 interior layouts. There is walk-around access to the centerline bed. A memory foam mattress and fitted spread are included. There are two, deep, hinged trap storage lockers at the head of the bed. Over the head of the bed are two halogen-reading lamps.
Aft on the port side is a changing seat with piano hinged top and plastic lined clothes hamper beneath. A vanity with mirror is aft of the changing seat. There is plenty of organized storage in lockers and drawers throughout the stateroom. Three deck hatches with Oceanaire screen-and-blind system on each provide controlled light and ventilation.
