Description
Introduced in 1992, the made-in-America Tiara 3100 Open is a complete update of the original 3100 and features a reworked solid fiberglass deep V hull with sharper entry and additional transom deadrise (and 2,000 pounds greater displacement) for stability, and greater bow flare for a drier ride. Below, the interior of the new 3100 has a bit more headroom than her predecessor, and there’s also a bigger U-shaped dinette. Additional updates included more fuel, a tilt-away helm console, a transom door, recessed trim tabs and prop pockets to reduce shaft angle.
What DIDN'T change were the classic Tiara lines (and, beamy for her length, she's surprisingly spacious both in the cockpit and down below) and the top-notch build quality including systems and hardware--it's for good reason that Tiaras have the reputation that they do.
This particular example is one of the cleanest 3100s you're ever going to see inside and out. Also note the custom fiberglass hardtop (this is a very helpful addition, also RARE--most of the 3100s just have the canvas top) plus updated electronics including Garmin chartplotter/radar, and inverter/charger and batteries all new in 2020, updated exterior canvas and low time on 8.1L Crusaders with new exhaust elbows & heat exchangers also in 2020; reportedly about $40,000 worth of upgrades were completed in 2020, and the engines were both just gone thru again with the cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds being redone (all four heads were taken off and machined shop then completely rebuilt, this was NOT a small project!) and all the machinery was serviced in mid May 2024 (another $20,000).
Also, note vessel's lying in a potentially transferable Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip, there's a wait list to get into the marina here so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage. Price just reduced again by a very motivated seller so a nice turn key package if you're able to take advantage!
