Features and Options

Interior Accommodations:

From the cockpit there is a large aluminum door into the salon. The cockpit features a big lazzarette below. There is a transom door and swim platform with boarding ladder. The roof overhangs to cover the door into the salon. There are seven windows in the salon three opening with screens. There is 6 ft 7 in headroom that creates a very open space.

There are doors on either side of the pilot station that open to facilitate docking or just to bring in the fresh air. Side decks allow for movement on each side of the salon.

When you enter from the cockpit into the salon the galley is to starboard and the settee to port. There is seating for four in the L shaped lounges. Fuel tanks and water tank are are located below Lounge seating and the seating becomes a bed. The table is made from solid wood. The Galley has a three burner stove with oven. The galley also features a refrigerator and microwave. There are counters and cabinets everywhere, including under the salon floor. Clearly this boat is made for comfortable living.

Three steps up from the salon is the pilot station. The helm is to starboard with a double sliding helm station beside the opening door. The instruments are above the helm and there is a spacious counter for chart work. The forward windows have wipers and a defroster. To port is another large seat for passengers and another opening door to the side deck.

Down three stairs to port forward of that seat is the roomy head with shower and a walk around queen berth. There is a separate entrance for the head allowing for privacy. The toilet is a vacuflush with a fresh water flush.

The bed has a custom coil spring mattress and can be accessed from either side. There are hanging lockers and cabinets on both sides of the bed. Separate reading lights and a large overhead hatch makes this a secure and comfortable place to spend the summer. Upgraded SS ports throughout. Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning  

The smaller unit is 10,000 BTU unit, which draws 14A from the shore power circuit (and much more at startup). It is located under starboard pilot house seat. The control panel for this unit is located on the side of the refrigerator cabinet. The unit forces cold or warm air into the duct which runs up the wall on the starboard side of the main salon between the pilothouse and the galley. There are 2 vents in this duct.  

The larger unit is 16,000 BTU, which draws 18A. It is located under port pilot house seat. The control panel for this unit is in the stateroom on the port side of the boat – easily accessible from the bed. The unit is designed to feed vents located in the port side of the stateroom, the head (luxury!) as well as the duct and vents on the port side of the main salon.  

Both units share a common water pump switched by an electronic controller.

Main engine is a Cummins 6BTA5.9 330 hp Turbo Diesel with 3109 hrs

Racor fuel filters

Onan 5kW Genset  1193hrs 

One 4D AGM deep-cycle battery that supplies engine starter, and also the bow thruster and windlass. Located on the starboard side of the tank room.  
Two 4D AGM deep-cycle batteries that supply the ‘house’ circuits (basically everything else). Located on port side of tank room.

2021   

New windlass motor installed, paid by seller as a result of survey.

New bow thruster motor installed, paid by seller as a result of survey.

Dual Racor filter system for main engine diesel fuel.  This is standard equipment for newer American Tugs, but not on 2003 models.

Two new ABC fire extinguishers purchased to meet new law.         

Current flare package purchased.

New dripless shaft seal and spare seal installed to stop leak.

Rewire nonfunctioning main and forward cabin lighting to spare switches.

New throwable horseshoe buoy and 75 feet of throwing line purchased.

New dock and spring lines purchased.

Four new 30” black Taylor Made fenders and lines purchased.

New tableware: knives, forks, spoon, plates, cups, bowls, glasses, carving knives, toaster, kitchen cookware and utensils.

Two 30 foot 30amp power cords.

75 foot drinking water quality hose.

Three inch mattress pad, four pillows, two sheets, pillow cases, three blankets

2022   

Two new VHF radio antennas installed.

Added remote pilot house windlass controller switch to standard deck switches.

New Dometic 500 series toilet installed.

Replace leaking water heater pump fittings and hose.

Add electric bilge pump, hose and fittings in engine room.

2023   

Replace original 6.8 cu.ft. Nova Kool Refrigerator and separate freezer.

Staying with the boat are: a standard Cummins repair parts kit, assorted Racor fuel filters, and a shop vac.

2024 

Replace batteries: three new 4D AGM batteries, two new group 24 AGM batteries.
