Description
Vessel Overview
Born from the passion of the founders of Pacific Asian Enterprises (P.A.E.), the Nordhavn 46 was, from the very beginning, a design that challenged the styling trends of its day. While the market favored lightweight, fast boats, the 46 attracted a devoted following of sailors and power boaters who shared a desire to cross oceans safely and comfortably.
What began as a small community has grown into a worldwide family of Nordhavn owners who value strength, comfort, and the simplicity of voyaging under power.
Nordhavn 46 Hull #80, “Lady Grey”, is a later‑series example of this legendary passagemaker that set the benchmark for compact ocean‑crossing trawlers. Her layout features an owner’s stateroom forward and a guest cabin amidships. She has received an exceptional schedule of maintenance and refits between 2021 and 2025, bringing her mechanical, electrical, and comfort systems to modern standards.
During her 2025 haul‑out, all below‑waterline through‑hull fittings and valves were replaced with Groco flanged valves and fiberglass backing plates. ABT stabilizer seals were replaced, shafts inspected, and a new keel cooler installed. Most major systems -including hydraulics, steering, cooling, and stabilizers - have been serviced or upgraded. She is ready for serious offshore cruising.
Step through the aft sliding door into the salon, where an L‑shaped settee lies to port and movable table and chairs to starboard. Forward, a galley athwartships to port divides the working and entertaining areas, while steps to starboard lead up to the pilothouse. A centerline companionway descends forward to the accommodations. To port is the guest stateroom with over‑under berths, hanging locker, and built‑in desk; engine‑room access is aft in the mid‑cabin, where the dry‑stack exhaust muffler and insulation blanket have also been replaced.
The guest head with a separate stall shower lies to starboard, followed by the owner’s head and private stateroom forward. The owner’s cabin features a centerline queen berth with port and starboard access, generous storage, a vanity with mirror, and a comfortable seat aft.
The pilothouse offers a raised settee and table for watch‑keeping comfort and socializing underway, with a pilot berth above and aft of the settee backrest. Forward visibility is excellent, and the dash provides ample space for additional electronics as desired.
Lady Grey’s deck layout showcases classic Nordhavn features including a Portuguese bridge around the pilothouse, bulwarks with stainless handrails, and a raised boat deck aft. She is one of the few Nordhavn 46s built with a flybridge, accessible from the boat deck, featuring a complete second control station with steering, thruster, shift, and navigation repeaters. The area is open and versatile, with excellent visibility and generous deck space for furniture or gear storage.
“Lady Grey” is Canadian‑flagged and was originally imported into the United States with customs duty paid.
A comprehensive 40‑page insurance and valuation survey was completed in late summer 2025, with an addendum following the fall haul‑out. The report is available for review by qualified buyers.
Numerous underway and walk‑through videos are also available upon request.
