Salon

Entry to the salon is through a sturdy Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch door from the cockpit. This level blends seamlessly with the adjacent galley to port, forming a practical and sociable living space. Ultra Leather settees to port and starboard provide both seating and additional sleeping options, with storage beneath. Teak-and-spruce floors are protected by removable carpet tiles, and a large teak table with a starburst inlay serves as the saloon’s centerpiece—ideal for dining or relaxing at anchor.

Aft to port, a flat-screen UHD smart TV and Denon surround sound system create a cozy media nook. Just forward, tucked beneath the pilothouse stairs, is a locker housing the Splendide vented combination washer/dryer. New Hunter Douglas blinds (installed July 2025) add both privacy and style.

Galley

Located forward to port, the galley is efficiently designed for preparing meals underway or at anchor. It features a full suite of appliances, plenty of countertop space, and abundant storage in lockers and drawers. All refrigeration has been upgraded for modern efficiency, including Sub-Zero and Vitrifrigo drawer-style units and a dedicated chest freezer on the boat deck.

Pilothouse

Ascending from the main level, the pilothouse serves as MovinOn’s command center—designed for safety, visibility, and comfort whether underway or on watch at anchor. The Stidd helm chair offers an ergonomic vantage point over a logically arranged dash housing the vessel’s full suite of navigation, communication, and operational systems. All controls are clearly labeled and within reach, with breakers and displays smartly positioned for efficiency.

The pilothouse is also a favorite gathering spot. Aft of the helm is a built-in settee and a fixed teak table, ideal for companions to share the journey or enjoy a quiet watch. A sliding berth converts this space into a functional off-watch rest area. The atmosphere is climate-controlled via air conditioning, and two Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch doors offer immediate access to the side decks.

For added provisioning capacity, two stainless-steel Vitrifrigo drawer units are conveniently located under the watch berth.

Staterooms Overview:

Below deck, MovinOn offers two well-appointed staterooms and two heads, designed for both privacy and comfort on extended cruises. The guest quarters are located forward, while the owner’s suite is positioned amidships—an optimal location for motion comfort while underway. Each cabin includes ample storage, ventilation, and classic teak-and-spruce soles.

Guest Stateroom (Forward)

Configured to sleep three, the forward stateroom is ideal for visiting family or crew. To port are over/under single bunks, while a single berth to starboard provides added flexibility. Natural light and airflow come from overhead hatches and portlights, while a dedicated head with shower is just aft.

The island berth faces athwartships with a custom mattress and nightstands on each side. Two large hanging lockers, numerous drawers, and a mirrored forward bulkhead add to the feeling of spaciousness. An ensuite head and separate shower compartment complete the suite.

Engine Room

Accessed via a teak-faced door with viewing window in the owner’s stateroom, the engine room aboard MovinOn is spacious, well-ventilated, and designed for easy inspections and routine maintenance. The layout reflects Nordhavn’s engineering philosophy—prioritizing redundancy, reliability, and access. The keel-cooled Lugger main engine features a dry stack exhaust, while a Yanmar wing engine provides backup propulsion. Fuel is gravity-fed from twin fiberglass tanks into a forward supply tank, with Racor filters and a polished manifold system.

MovinOn’s cockpit and swim platform are designed for practicality, safety, and convenience—whether boarding from a dinghy, entertaining guests, or handling lines. The extended swim platform includes a deep-reach swim ladder and transom shower. Boarding is possible from port, starboard, and aft thanks to three gated access points. The cockpit features storage, a varnished teak cap rail, and mounts for fishing gear and a grill.

The Portuguese bridge wraps around the front of the pilothouse, offering additional protection and access to the foredeck through a hinged gate. Port-side steps lead up to the boat deck.

Foredeck

A large dock box and chest freezer complete this functional working space.

Upgrades winter 2024/2025 Philbrook’s, Sidney, BC

In the winter of 2024/2025 Philbrook’s boat yard went through every system on the boat and did the following repairs, replacements and upgrades.

 

General Ship Repairs

• Repaired/repainted corrosion on windows, doors and other areas. Replaced gaskets and seals.
• Repaired and repainted Portuguese bridge hatch
• Replaced bow locker gas springs
• Upgraded freshwater storage tank system with design improvements to enable easier fill of the main tank wing tanks
• Serviced HVAC systems in salon, pilothouse and staterooms
• Serviced watermaker pump and controller, replaced filters and membranes
• Serviced Vitrifrigo refrigerator
• Replaced master head shower pump
• Replaced stern thruster motor with larger sealed motor
• Serviced bow thruster
• Complete service of manual and automatic black water pumps
• Upgraded owner’s cabin toilet
• Serviced manual and automatic gray water pumps
• Replaced black water tank gauge
• Replaced Y valve for main stateroom head
• Replaced airhorn motor/pump
• Serviced galley range and replaced thermocouple 

Haul Out

• Cleaned bottom
• Applied two coats of bottom paint
• Replaced zincs as required
• Checked all thru hull valves for operation
• Applied anticorrosion to props and shafts
• Cleaned, waxed, buffed and polished

Electrical Repairs and Upgrades

• Electrical system assessment including checking all grounds and connections
• Evaluated and cleaned up wiring in electrical panel, replaced nonworking gauges
• Replaced forward house batteries
• Permanently installed Starlink system

Electronics

• Serviced and tested Simrad autopilot 
• Installed new battery monitoring system
• Replaced the XINTEX S-2A propane fume detection system (whole system) 

Engine Room

• Serviced and tested high water bilge pump

 Main Engine

• Repaired coolant leak in main engine
• Replaced oil cooler “O” ring with Viton “O” ring
• Replaced coolant in main engine
• Serviced engine (1000 hr)
• Touched up/ cleaned up paint  

Generator

• Serviced Engine (1000 hr)

 Wing Engine

• Changed oil and filters
• Changed fuel filters
• Lubed throttle cable 
• Replaced raw water pump impeller

 MovinOn is fresh out of the Philbrooks boat yard where all last winter she was gone over stem to stern. All systems were serviced or upgraded. The main engine and generator went through the 1000 hr service. Water maker has new membranes and was fully serviced. Too many items and improvements to list.
