Description

Overview:

MovinOn is hull number one of the acclaimed Nordhavn 43 series, a model developed in the wake of the groundbreaking 2000–2001 Nordhavn 40 circumnavigation. Designed as a worthy successor to the legendary Nordhavn 46, the N43 was built with the serious passagemaker in mind—an ideal two-stateroom, two-head trawler purpose-built for owner-operators seeking comfort and autonomy on long-distance voyages.

With her striking profile, MovinOn stands out thanks to her flybridge and dual stabilization systems, including paravanes and NAIAD active fins. Redundancy is a theme throughout—twin propulsion systems (Lugger main engine with dry stack exhaust and a Yanmar wing engine), backup electrical systems (AGM batteries with inverter and charger), and generous fuel capacity (1,200 gallons across twin fiberglass tanks with sight glasses) that delivers an impressive 3,000 nautical mile range.

Onboard comfort is equally prioritized. A Northern Lights generator and air conditioning support livability, while refrigeration needs are met by Sub-Zero and Vitrifrigo units. Laundry is handled by a Splendide combo washer/dryer, and a high-capacity watermaker keeps freshwater topped up for extended time offshore.

The entry-level saloon and galley area are welcoming and well-appointed. Large windows brighten the space, with settees on both sides offering storage below. A custom teak dining table is the centerpiece. The galley is intelligently laid out and fully equipped with a propane stove/oven, microwave, trash compactor, and abundant storage.

The pilothouse, accessed via a short staircase, is a hub of navigation and comfort. A Stidd helm chair faces a thoughtfully arranged dash of navigation and communications equipment. A settee and watch berth aft make this a prime space for both command and company. Dutch doors to port and starboard provide direct access to the decks.

Below, accommodations include a forward guest stateroom with three berths and a shared head, while the midship owner’s suite—located in the vessel’s most stable area—features an island berth, ensuite head with separate shower, and ample storage.

The engine room is accessed from the owner’s cabin and offers excellent headroom and maneuverability for inspections and maintenance. The lazarette, entered via the cockpit, houses steering gear, batteries, watermaker, inverter, and more.

Outside, MovinOn continues to impress. A custom extended swim platform makes boarding easy, while the cockpit provides access from three sides and includes a freshwater shower, storage, and rod holders. The side deck leads to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck, where ground tackle is easily managed via a robust Maxwell windlass and Bruce anchor. The boat deck, accessed via steps on the port side, includes a Highfield RIB with Honda outboard, paravane rig, and electric boom winches.

Up top, the flybridge offers dual helm chairs, a folding Bimini, and full navigation and engine controls for commanding the vessel in fair weather.

The Nordhavn 43 is a full-displacement trawler engineered for serious ocean-crossing capability. Designed with purpose and practicality, her systems and layout support long-term, self-sufficient cruising. The interior showcases Nordhavn’s hallmark craftsmanship—beautiful teak joinery, granite countertops, and a classic blend of white laminate accents and teak-and-spruce soles. Large windows, overhead hatches, portlights, and dorade vents bring in light and fresh air, while air conditioning throughout ensures comfort in all climates. MovinOn’s layout offers a smooth, intuitive flow from one living space to the next.

Exclusions: Potential purchasers should assume that items on the vessel at the time of viewing, but not specifically listed on this sheet, are not included with the sale of the yacht. These specifications are believed to be true and correct but cannot be guaranteed. Items excluded include, but are not limited to Paintings, tools, handheld nav gear and binoculars. Owner’s personal effects and clothing will be removed prior to closing.

Salon

Entry to the salon is through a sturdy Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch door from the cockpit. This level blends seamlessly with the adjacent galley to port, forming a practical and sociable living space. Ultra Leather settees to port and starboard provide both seating and additional sleeping options, with storage beneath. Teak-and-spruce floors are protected by removable carpet tiles, and a large teak table with a starburst inlay serves as the saloon’s centerpiece—ideal for dining or relaxing at anchor.

Aft to port, a flat-screen UHD smart TV and Denon surround sound system create a cozy media nook. Just forward, tucked beneath the pilothouse stairs, is a locker housing the Splendide vented combination washer/dryer. New Hunter Douglas blinds (installed July 2025) add both privacy and style.

The Stidd helm chair offers an ergonomic vantage point over a logically arranged dash housing the vessel’s full suite of navigation, communication, and operational systems. All controls are clearly labeled and within reach, with breakers and displays smartly positioned for efficiency.

The pilothouse is also a favorite gathering spot. Aft of the helm is a built-in settee and a fixed teak table, ideal for companions to share the journey or enjoy a quiet watch. A sliding berth converts this space into a functional off-watch rest area. The atmosphere is climate-controlled via air conditioning, and two Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch doors offer immediate access to the side decks.
