Description

PRELIMINARY LISTING

JuJu is undeniably the nicest example of the popular Sabre 36 flybridge available anywhere!

JuJu features the preferred galley down model with center line queen forward in the

owner’s state room. Also, private head, separate enclosed standup shower, sink and

towel storage. She also has two separate control stations with wing door access from

the lower helm.

Why is JuJu priced a hundred plus thousand dollars more than others? Here are

a few good reasons why:

COMPLETE PAINT JOB....Every piece of hardware was removed including the bow

pulpit, windless, helm chairs and bases, every instrument/gauge, controls, steering,

swim platform, flybridge steps, running lights, rod holders...Everything. After the boat

was completely painted both bow hatches were replaced with new ones. It is no secret

that all this era of Sabre, Cabo, Viking had gel-coat issues... To do it right, every spider

crack must be ground all the way down to the glass, epoxy filled and faired, then

sprayed with two coats of Awl Craft high build primer. Then painted with two coats of Awl

Craft 2000 then a third coat of Awl Craft 2000 clear. All the teak toe rails, gunnel rails,

trim rails, bow pulpit and swim platform, flybridge steps were stripped to bare wood.

Swim platform and bow pulpit and flybridge steps were coated on the top sides and

under sides along with rest of the teak with 14 coats of Awl Craft Awl Wood. Swim

platform and flybridge steps received clear non-skid. Then all the teak was sprayed

with two coats of Awl Craft clear. The top sides were painted in “Stark White” and the

hull was sprayed in “Aristo Blue”. The boot stripes are sprayed in “Blood Red” and the

“Gold Leaf Sabre Pin Stripe” from Sabre, were painted and shot with Awl Craft 2000

clear. The Stidd helm chairs and stanchions were completely disassembled, sanded to

raw metal then primed and painted with Awl Craft 2000 and both chairs and the other

Fly Bridge cushions were covered in BUCKSKIN ULTRA-LEATHER. THIS IS NOT

YOUR AVERAGE “SCUFF AND SHOOT” PAINT JOB.

ALL NEW DOMETIC AIR CONDITIONERS: Including compressors, condensers, A/C

water pump, all duct work and copper lines. The salon unit was upgraded to a 16,000

BTU system, and the forward state room was upgraded to another 16,000 BTU system

(A 12,000 BTU unit was standard).

SHIP’S HEAD SYSTEM: All new Raritan PST12EX Pueasan EX waste treatment

device has been installed below the Galley Deck. This system is a true game changer.

It is an onboard water, sewage, treatment system that neutralizes waste, making it

sanitary and US Coast Guard legal to pump overboard anywhere except in Federal No

Discharge zones. This unit is US Coast Guard approved for vessels 66’ in length and

less. This eliminates the need for a HOLDING TANK, and runs off the ships fresh water

tank, using just over a quart to flush. This system is 12 Volt and has a 12 VT/120VT

power supply. And a separate group 31 AGM battery for use with no generator or shore

power. A VERY EXPENSIVE UPGRADE!!!

COMPLETELY NEW CANVAS PACKAGE: Individual covers for all cabin windows, bow

pulpit, toe rails, cap rails, gunnels, swim platform, flybridge steps, helm chairs, and a

complete one-piece flybridge cover. New flybridge Bimini top, cockpit Bimini top, and

storage boots when stowed. The two Stid Helm chairs and flybridge lounge and back

rest were newly upholstered with the very best Buck Skin Ultra-Leather.

HULL: She has a modified “V hull” with 18 degrees dead rise at the transom. She has

propeller pockets which allow exceptionally shallow draft of 3’ 4”. Her hull is solid

fiberglass with six laminates of knitted, By-axial fiberglass laminate. Her running

surfaces are re-enforced with Divinycell PVC foam core. The 36 Flybridge was built on

the proven hull of the 36’ MKII Express with wide chimes and spray rails. The 36

Flybridge Fast Trawler gets up on plane easily and offers one of the driest, most

comfortable rides to be found in this size and class of yachts.

ADDITIONAL NOTABLE EQUIPMENT:

Dometic bow thruster…upper and lower station

Garmin Radar…..upper and lower station

Garmin Chart Plotter GPS….upper and lower station

Simrad AP-22 Auto pilot….upper and lower station

ICOM VHF Radio…..upper and lower station

Fusion sound system….upper and lower station

BOTTOM SERVICE: Two coats of Pettit Vivid Red, then top coated with NAS-3298 #1

hull max high-speed coating. Both cutlass bearings were replaced with composite

bearings. The Dometic Bow thruster propeller was removed, painted and re-installed.

All the metal hardware including; Shafts, props, and rudders were coated with two

coats of prop speed. There was a second hull side thru hull added to accommodate

each air conditioner and 1000GPH A/C pump.

ENGINES: These are the Yanmar 6LYA-STP 370 H.P. Turbo Diesels with 1250 original

hours. She will cruise efficiently at 18 knots, getting 1.2 MPG, she can fast cruise at

22-24 knots and make 28 knots WOT. (Note: Sabre offered the 315 H.P. Yanmar’s).

There is an Onan 9KW diesel generator. Sabre’s standard generator is 7.5KW. The

generator was recently serviced and comes with a sound shield. Both engines and

generator have separate Racor fuel filters, remote mounted, below deck in cock pit

lazarette for easy access and service. NOTE: JuJu comes with all the factory owner’s

manuals, including electronics, appliances, and virtually every manual for everything

aboard. – See Photo’s

ENGINE ROOM: Every fresh and saltwater hose was replaced on the main engines

and the exhaust with all new double stainless-steel clamps. The heat exchangers were

serviced, and new gear oil/ fuel coolers were replaced with new. Both thermostats and

impellers were replaced. Both engine and gen set were serviced to date. Six of the

eight group 31-AMG batteries are new (04/25), the other two are still under warranty.

Both fuel tanks were polished by Safe Harbor Services.

BROKERS COMMENT: The Sabre 36’ Flybridge Trawler is an excellent choice for

cruising anywhere and especially set up for the Great American Loop for many good

reasons. Shallow draft 3’ 4” with propeller pockets, a low air draft of 12’ 2” …..Speed,

THIS LADY WILL ROCK! Can you believe a true 22-24 KNOT CRUISE! And

unbelievable dry ride. Impressive fuel efficiency and awesome visibility from the lower

station at every RPM. Very “handling friendly” at the dock gives JuJu everything you can

dream of.

The JuJu was this owner’s “FOREVER BOAT”. The above upgrades took 14 months

to complete. They were done, out of the water, under cover at Barber’s Marina here in

Alabama at a cost of 3,000.00 a month! All this work was performed by: Jason and his

crew at Gulfstream Service of Orange Beach and is just now being completed (June

2025).
