Additional Description
Expertly designed by Bernard Olesinski in collaboration with the Fairline design team, the Squadron 74 features a high-performance deep-V hull, with an 18° deadrise at the transom for exceptional seakeeping and smooth handling. The hull construction utilizes an isophthalic gel coat backed by a resin-rich, powder-bound glass mat for superior durability and resistance to osmotic blistering.
Each hull is hand-laid with a combination of chopped strand mat, unidirectional and biaxial fabrics, and woven rovings to ensure optimal strength and rigidity. Structural integrity is further enhanced by full-length moulded spray deflectors and an integrated system of transverse and longitudinal stringers throughout the hull.
The integral bathing platform extends the waterline length, contributing to improved performance and greater efficiency, particularly at lower cruising speeds. Propellers are housed in semi-tunnels, allowing the engines to be positioned further aft—this reduces the shaft angle, enhances thrust, and lowers draft, optimizing both handling and fuel economy.
Engine bearers are moulded directly into the hull for added strength, and the hull-to-deck joint is both bonded and through-bolted to ensure long-term structural reliability. The deck itself features polyurethane foam cores, providing exceptional stiffness and thermal insulation.
Additional features include factory-applied antifouling protection and a 25hp bow thruster with dual-station controls, offering precise maneuverability in tight docking situations.
