When we talk about unicorns in our industry, THIS is exactly the boat we are referring to. Hull #19 out of the Marquis factory, she was delivered new to her first owner in TN where she was kept in a covered slip and enjoyed light use. Around 16 years ago, she made her way up to Grand Haven, MI - where she has enjoyed meticulous stewardship, short seasons, and indoor heated storage ever since... and my God, does it show.
Her engine room sparkles, and is devoid of leaks, rust, or any signs of abuse - and her available service records go back to the start of her care in Michigan -- we even have years of oil samples to share with her next owners.
These boats weren't just beautiful when they came onto the global boating scene - they were an industry standard-bearer and change agent - timeless Italian lines from the legendary Design Group Nuvolari Lenard, yet with interior proportions and roominess for an American consumer... none of the awkward ergonomics and tiny spaces of the Italian yachts of this era!
Her IMCI Rating of Category "A" is the highest offered by the International Maritime Certification Institute in Europe, and her MTU engines push her performance into truly inspiring numbers when needed, while offering shockingly good fuel burn at hull speeds (around 10 knots). She has the range and capability to make long passages, and these hulls can be found from Australia to St. Barth's and all points in between.
Brokers, bring your most unreasonably picky buyer for this vessel - her most recent survey found her condition to be "Excellent", and she is in as close to "as-new" condition as you will find in a 20 year-old boat. I have been lucky enough to have sold and delivered many of this particular model over the years, and this is -by far- the cleanest, most well-founded example that I have seen in the last 15 years.
