The Stentor 1800, FESTINA LENTE, is a superb example of Dutch steel yacht building at its best. Designed by Vripack Naval Architects and built in 2005 to CE-A Ocean standards, she combines a round-bilge full displacement hull with hydraulic stabilisers for remarkably comfortable and secure passage making. With her steel hull, aluminium wheelhouse and construction quality that is immediately apparent throughout, this is a yacht built for serious cruising and long-term living aboard. She has had only two owners since new, with the current owners caring for her since 2018.

Under the current ownership, FESTINA LENTE has been blasted and repainted twice, first in 2018 and then again in 2024, giving her a shining and elegant appearance. Her machinery spaces reflect the same high level of care. The engine room is spacious and immaculately maintained with a superb layout and excellent access to all systems.

Life on board is comfortable in all climates, thanks to hydronic central heating, air conditioning, double-glazed windows and high-quality insulation. The interior is beautifully crafted in satin-finished cherry with high-gloss trim. A bright and generous saloon, a large owner’s cabin aft with en-suite bathroom, and a cosy guest cabin forward, each offering excellent comfort and storage. 

The well-equipped L-shaped galley with seating for six includes induction hob, an oven/microwave, large fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, and a washer-dryer, everything you need for living full time aboard.

Outdoor is equally well considered. The large teak-laid aft deck features a U-shaped settee with double tables, new canvas enclosure, integrated lighting and panoramic views, perfect for dining, socialising or even taking a dance in the evening sun.

Her machinery and systems place her well above the average in this class. The yacht is equipped with the larger and the more desirable Caterpillar 185 hp engines, delivering economical long-range performance with a remarkable range of around 3,500 nautical miles at 7 knots. Bow and stern thrusters, Vetus hydraulic stabilisers, the Radio Holland Seapilot manoeuvring and the wireless YachtControl system give precise handling in all conditions, whether underway or docking.

With the 8,000 litres of fuel capacity, extensive electrical autonomy through a Fischer Panda generator, 1,340 W of solar panels and a substantial 1,500 Ah service bank at 24V, FESTINA LENTE is ready for long-term independence.
