Description
CASABLANCA has been under the current owners' (second) command for the past ten (10) years, during which time she has received constant care, maintenance, and upgrades. All service is up-to-date and she is turn-key ready.
CASABLANCA'S layout features two (2) spacious cabins, and a third office/cabin. The large saloon/galley is perfect for informal gatherings or formal dining, and for al fresco dining there is the fully covered aft deck. Spaces are bright and airy with plenty of natural light and ventilation. One of the Krogen hallmarks are the large living spaces for owners and guests, all incorporated in a ture bluewater cruiser capable of crossing oceans or exploring coastal hideaways.
CASABLANCA has four (4) control stations making maneruvering stressless whether in open water or close quarters. Outdoor spaces are wide open yet provide a real sense of security underway by virture of substantial bulwarks and robust stainless steel rails.
If you are looking for a go anywhere vessel that is built like a battleship, but doesn't look like one, CASABLANCA should definitely be on your radar. She is easy to see in Stuart, so make an appointment and come aboard.
Construction
- Hull and superstructure molds from high-grade female tooling.
- Hull construction includes use of USA-made, Cook® gel coat; Knytex (in combination with mat and Airex®) above waterline; solid fiberglass lamination below waterline, with blister-resistant vinylester resins utilized on first laminates. Aramid fiber/FRP reinforced stem and stern bottom areas.
- Superstructure includes Knytex® and mat in combination with Divinycell® cores and surface mats for print-through reduction.
- Teak aft and side decks. Boat and fore decks have GripTex® non-skid finish. Bulwark has molded plank lines with gel coat finish.
- Polyurethane formulated marine sealants used at hull-to-deck, boat deck joints and exterior fittings.
- Marine-grade plywood bulkheads with molded fiberglass hat section stringers.
- Interior finished with handcrafted solid Cherry and veneers.
Exterior Overview
The Krogen 58' has an asymmectrical deck arrangement. The port side of the main deck is pushed out all the way to the sheer. The starboard side has a very wide walk around and hip-high bulwark, and there is an aluminum Dutch door to thegalley. The side deck and aft deck are fully covered with a solid teak sole. The aft deck also has a cabinet with stainless steel fresh water sink, storage, and houses the twin 50-amp Glendinning Cablemasters with power extension and retraction.
There are molded fiberglass steps leading forward from the starboard side deck to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck.There is a wing station to starboard making easy work of close quarters maneuvering, and there is generous storage in the Portuguese bridge itself. There are aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard to the pilothouse, and there is a double door leading to the foredeck. The foredeck has seating/storage immediately forward of the Portugues bridge,high bulwarks and stainless steel rails for added safety. There is a Freeman aluminum hatch to the port side of the bowpulpit giving access to the chain locker and storage.
Going aft from the port side of the pilothouse are molded steps leading up to the boat deck and flybridge, again, with high stainless steel rails all around. The tender and hydraulic crane are on the boat deck as is access to the under flybridge storage. Molded fiberglass steps lead up to the flybridge with L-shaped seating and table, twin helm chairs and upper helm.

Saloon
Entering the saloon through double aluminum weather-tight doors with retractable screen, you are immediately impressed by the bright and airy feeling. There are opening windows to port and starboard, and in the aft bulkhead. To starboard is an L-shaped settee with free-standing expandable hi-lo table tor cocktails or formal dining. To port are two (2) swivel/recliners and side table. Both the settee and the chairs are covered in Ultraleather. There is a flat-screen TV mounted on the forward bulkhead. The windows have drapes and shades, and cherry valences, and there is an area rug on top of the cherry parquet floor.
Galley
Forward of the saloon is the open-faced in-line galley to starboard. To port is a buffet server with drawer and cabinet storage, bottle storage, book/display shelves, and a large pantry pantry.

Office/Guest Cabin
Down and forward from the saloon/galley is the office/guest cabin to port. There is a settee that converts to a large single berth, hanging locker, book shelves, two (2) large stainless steel opening ports, and a desk with drawer and cabinet storage. As with all of the lower level accommodation areas there is fitted carpet throughout.
Starboard Guest Cabin
Forward of the office/guest cabin is the starboard guest cabin. There are twin berths, a hanging locker, two (2) opening stainless steel ports, generous drawer storage, fully carpeted, and a private entrance to the guest/day head.
Guest/Day Head
Forward of the guest cabin on the starboard side is guest/day head with entrances from both the guest cabin and the companionway. There is a vanity with mirrored medicine cabinet, Planus fresh water toilet, exhaust fan, large stall shower with opening stainless steel port, and aluminum bi-fold door. The floor is done in a multi-colored ceramic tile.
Opposite the guest head is the laundry with an Asko washer and dryer.
Owner's Cabin
Forward is the large owner's cabin. It features an en suite head, queen-size island berth, two (2) large hanging lockers, mirrored bureau, bulkhead mounted TV, four (4) large opening ports, two (2) overhead screened hatches, and voluminous storage throughout. Since there are no hard chines or spray rails, your experience at anchor is almost theraputic while at anchor. There is no wave slap, just the gentle gurgle of water passing by the hull.
Owner's Head
Upon entering the owner's cabin and immediately to port is the en suite head. There is a Planus fresh water toilet, vanity with mirrored cabinets, large opening stainless steel port, exhaust fan, large stall shower with molded seat, large opening stainless steel port, and aluminum bi-fold door. The floor is done in a multi-colored ceramic tile.
Pilothouse
Up and forward from the saloon/galley is the pilothouse with commanding views for captain and guests alike. There is a Stidd helm seat for the captain, and a raised L-shaped Ultraleather settee for guests that also converts to a double berth if needed. In addition to the panoramic view, there is plenty of natural ventilation provided by two (2) overhead hatches, two (2) opening ports, and aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard. There are full-size chart tables for plotting that next exotic destination, and the ship-like helm gives the captain quick and easy visuals of all nav instruments and components.
Flybridge
Exiting the pilothouse on the port side and going aft the boat deck with tender storage and the flybridge. The Caribe 14' RIB with 60 hp Yamaha is mounted athwart, and is easily handled by the Nautical Structures power rotating hydraulic davit. Up a few steps is the flybirdge with two (2) pedestal mounted helms seats and L-shaped seating with table, and a Venturi wind screen.
There is plenty of storage beneath the flybridge that can be accessed by two (2) doors. There is a Trident propane locker mounted outboard of the flybridge on the starboard side, a Frigibar freezer/refrigerator, and the Starlink antenna mounted just forward of the tender.
The mast can be lowered making CASABLANCE suitable for the Great Loop.
