SAFE Boats Defender

Here is a well taken care of 2007 Safeboat Defender 25 ft. Purchased from the Seattle coast guard auction in 2020, 1 of 6 for auction.  This boat had the lowest amount of hours on the engines and was in the best shape.  There are no tears or holes in the foam. This boat has only been used for site seeing in the San Juan islands and crabbing.  Maximum of 50 hours per summer since purchased.  At the end of each season, the boat was cleaned and motors were properly flushed with fresh water.

Improvements include:

• Repainted factory orange in 2023
• 2 solar panels
• Large davit that can pull dinghy and use as crab puller
• New batteries in 2024
• New throttle cables installed in 2021
• Bearing buddies replaced on all 6 wheels of EZ Trailer
• EZ trailer hardware and brackets replaced with stainless steel
• Lower gear oil and engine oil/filter changed twice since purchase

My recommended future improvements:

• Replace exterior lights
• Radar and depth finder of your choice.  I've used Navionics and know the area fairly well.
• Replace anti slip tape
• Anchor puller system

The factory radar and additional 2 other units included. I purchased 2 other original units for parts but never got around to making them work.  All parts included.

This boat is in great shape and probably air tight since you can feel the pressure on your ear drums when the hatches close.  

Outside of a July/August sea trial, any requests to see the boat must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
