Description
Whether you're planning a weekend of fishing...cruising...or a little of both, this 290 Amberjack is suitably equipped. This versatile cruiser features an aluminum arch with rocket launchers, four rod holders, a bait prep station with recirculating livewell, seawater washdown system, and much more. Air conditioning and heating also come standard, so no matter how you decide to spend your time on the water, you'll always be comfortable.
The 290 Amberjack can be fished hard and you don’t sacrifice accommodations or cruising room. She gets her stability from the 10 ½ foot beam.
The 290’s cabin is designed to sleep up to six. Two in the forward berth, two in the dinette area, that coverts to a double berth, and two kids in the mid-cabin, which is also handy for storage. There’s also a fully enclosed head, which adds up to a lot of accommodations for a 29-footer. The galley comes complete with fiberglass countertops, a dual voltage refrigerator, two-burner electric stove, microwave and sink.
Specs for the 290 came in just under 45 mph at wide-open throttle and her best cruise at 3000 rpm yielded a cruising speed of 27.7 mph.
In all, the 290 Amberjack is a nice mix between a fishing boat and a cruiser. It has the space for plenty of company and the fishing features for good offshore capability.
