The Van Wijk 1030 is the model with which Van Wijk has elevated the classic sloop feeling to a higher level. Open sailing, plenty of living space, deep comfortable cockpit, and at the same time the protection, luxury, and sailing characteristics of a fully-fledged cabin boat. A vessel that invites long summer days on the water, but is just as easily suitable for weekend trips and longer stays.
This Van Wijk 1030 “Madeleine” (year of construction 2007, build number 19) has been extensively and professionally refurbished this past winter and is now in exceptionally neat and ready-to-use condition. Both technically and cosmetically, this is a very well-maintained vessel, with visible care taken in both the technology and the finishing.
It is currently located in a boathouse in Heeg (Friesland) and can be viewed by appointment. A test sail is, of course, possible for serious interest.
