Description
Explorer Yacht 48-meters robust steel Long-range vessel, built in 2008 by De Donge shipyards in Netherlands. Originally built as a professional long-range expedition vessel, she represents a great opportunity to acquire a commercially engineered Yacht converted for private ownership. Her future owner can define her role: a private super yacht, charter vessel, shadow boat, or expedition platform. The vessel's commercial-grade engineering supports any configuration.
Comprehensive refit 2025-2026. Bureau Veritas standards. Capacity 12 guests plus 9 crew. Impressed Current Cathodic hull protection. Available for full customization. Powered by twin DEUTZ TBD 616-V16 with only 150 running hours, new generator 100 kW, new Stand-alone Hydraulic Steering System.
Disclaimer
Built by De Donge Shipyards in the Netherlands to commercial-grade standards. Steel hull 10 mm, steel superstructure 8 mm.
Bureau Veritas standards.
Commercial vessel engineered for reliability, accessibility, and structural durability, unmatched quality.
Systems designed for maintenance at sea. Redundancy where it matters.
Long range voyaging. 7,000+ nautical miles range at 10 knots cruising speed, 79,000 liters total fuel capacity across two integrated hull tanks.
Designed to cross oceans.
She is currently under comprehensive refit (2025-2026) in Portugal, ready for any inspections. The right moment when the next owner can decide any modifications based on the final purpose. The refit project can be customized and tailored. Systems can be specified and layout can be adjusted.
This is not a finished project - it's a great opportunity to shape a vessel to precise requirements.
Under full paint. New pictures will be available end of March. Two primer coatings will be finalized within March 2026 on the full hull. Full interiors are stripped out.
N.B. Visuals represent the intended final configuration - the design direction and atmosphere upon completion. Fully customizable.

- Complete systems modernization and redundancy improvements
- Interior reconfiguration for private ownership standards
- Navigation and communication system upgrade
- Fuel filtration system installation
- Owner-oriented customization of layout and finishing
Impressed Current Cathodic hull protection.
Being an Explorer Yacht, all crucial systems are built on very high level of redundancy and robust, "Bureau Veritas-grade" standards, defining a true and capable Explorer vessel, allowing her to operate efficiently for extended periods. This "safety-by-design" approach ensures that the failure of a single component—such as an engine, generator, or steering gear—does not render the vessel helpless.
All technical documentation is available upon request.
The technical layout/GA has been elaborated in January 2026.
