Description
The boating season is in full swing, and with this 2008 Silverton Convertible you can take full advantage of the beautiful cruising waters and interesting destinations available to you in the Pamlico and Albemarle sound or waters North and South, or move her to your own home port.
The Silverton 33 Convertible is a good-looking family cruiser whose roomy interior comes as a surprise in a boat this size. Not that a two-stateroom floorplan is unusual in a 33-foot boat—there have been several such designs in the past, some more successful than others. The wide 12'8"" beam of the Silverton 33, however, results in an exceptionally open layout that is enhanced by her large cabin windows. A sleeper sofa and dinette are standard in the salon, and the U-shaped galley includes a built-in microwave, single-burner stove, and an under-counter refrigerator/freezer. Sliding windows provide good cabin ventilation, and two hatches in the salon sole provide access to the engine room. Below, the double bed in the master stateroom faces forward rather than aft, a space-saving design that might prove uncomfortable while underway. The small guest stateroom, aft and to port, has a double berth, hanging locker, and standing headroom by the doorway. The cockpit of the Silverton 33—small to begin with owing to the expansive salon—includes a transom door and molded fiberglass steps leading up the flybridge.
