Calypso is a well maintained and pristine Nordic Tug 32 with a Volvo D6 280hp Engine (2087 +/- hours.) The Onan generator has just 996+/- hours. The Nordic Tug 32 is the perfect yacht for the cruising couple --and easily sleeps 2 couples. She is a solidly built, svelte 32 with an 11 foot beam for easy movement and handles like a dream-- ideal for tucking into shallow coves and small intimate docks.
Don't let her size fool you because she has every amenity and is as tough and seaworthy as her larger siblings. Like all Nordic Tugs she features a semi-displacement hull with hard chine for greater speed and sea keeping qualities, a fine entry bow for a quiet ride and better fuel efficiency and is built with pride in the USA. Her large pilothouse offers panoramic 360 degree views, direct access to the deck, and standard bow thruster makes handling and docking in close quarters a breeze. The standard 280hp diesel engine (2087 +/- hours) provides cruise speeds in the teens with incredible efficiency. A roomy salon/galley is equipped with "L" settee that converts to a double berth. Forward you will find a spacious stateroom and large electric head with shower.
The Owners’ cabin has plenty of room for clothes in large hanging lockers and additional storage under the berth. Nicely finished, this stateroom is neither dark nor cramped. It has a nice, open feeling, thanks to light wall coverings instead of the teak prevalent throughout the rest of the boat.
Lynn Senour's design has captured the overall look of the classic tugboat, and the construction used by Nordic Tugs has proven to be as rugged and substantial as the boat's look implies.
