Scorpion Sting

When your heart and head combine the only conclusion is a Scorpion.

A Scorpion Sting should be on the bucket list of all seafarers at some point in their lives with its sublime seakeeping and ease of handling it really makes it a joy to use. This Scorpion Sting is truly magnificent for its age and has been exceptionally well looked after from new, so much so, that it really defies its true age. The cabin looks and feels like it has just been completed at the factory, all the fabrics and internal mouldings are in outstanding condition as are the electric w.c. and shower. The external mouldings, hull and tubes are again presented in superb condition. The engines and drives have been carefully maintained by the previous owners

Cabin Type

The spacious cabin is accessed through a door and down two steps, the galley is to port and comprises of a chest fridge and a sink with hot and cold running water. A controllable Eberspacher diesel heater heats the cabin and W.C. A full 240 volt ring-main from shorepower is throughout the cabin allowing the owner to use all the mod cons from home. The head is to starboard with shower, electric toilet and sink. The helm is superbly laid out for the helmsman and co-pilot. Twin double bolsters give an exceptional safe ride for the passengers with seat bases that can be electrically adjusted. The aft bench seating offers seating for 4. The seating has storage under for flares, tools etc. Behind the bench is located the engine compartment, access is via an electrically operated hinged lid. The engine hatch is finished in flexi-teak and has a cushion for sunbathing.

Engines and drives

The engines are accessed by an electro-ram hatch, the 2 x Yanmar 315hp Diesel inboards have Mercruiser Bravo 1 Drives and external steering hydraulic rams and tie bar. The steering is hydraulic and power assisted, 4 blade stainless steel props.

Electrical systems:

Twin battery, 12 Volts DC, Empirbus digital integrated decentralised power supply, stereo system in console with four speakers, 240 volt shorepower with ringmain, battery charging and hot water system.

Navigation Equipment:

Garmin 7012 GPS/Plotter/depthsounder/radar replaced in 2016, AIS fitted 2016, Icom 323 VHF/DSC, Compass, LED navigation lights.

Deck Equipment:

Electric anchor (replaced) with chain and warp, fenders and lines. Bennett Trim tabs. S/S post with navigation lights/Radar dome. Bathing platform with integrated boarding ladder, deck shower, tonneau cover and full all over cover

Safety Equipment:

Automatic fire extinguisher in the engine room. Manual fire extinguisher, 3 automatic bilge pumps in the cabin and deck area, 2 automatic bilge pumps in the engine area.

Tubes:

Scorpion hand-crafted two tone tubes in Arctic grey and Vesuvius red with charcoal grey end cones and 3 compartments per side.

This particular Sting has been exceptionally well cared for by the previous owners. Full servicing and maintenance schedules have been carried out All surveys welcome.
