Description

Alexander Marine are pleased to present the 2011 Grand Banks 53 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse 'Cabana' to the market as worldwide central agents.

Rarely does the opportunity arise to own an iconic vessel like the Grand Banks 53 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse. With only a limited number of these exceptional yachts ever built, 'Cabana' stands out as one of the finest examples of this highly sought-after model. True Grand Banks enthusiasts will appreciate the rarity and value of this opportunity. A single-owner vessel since new, 'Cabana' has been meticulously maintained with a comprehensive 12-year service history available for review. This yacht presents a turn-key opportunity to embark on your next adventure in sophisticated style and privacy. Designed for extended cruising, 'Cabana' has voyaged to Fiji and back, proving her seaworthiness and capability.

Access to her teak-laid cockpit is via her custom carbon fibre hydraulic hi/lo swim platform, which houses a Highfield Centre Console Tender with a Yamaha outboard ready for on-water adventures. Access to the cockpit is via the starboard entrance and features a fixed expandable timber table providing the perfect setting for alfresco dining. Acrylic wing doors on each side deck allow for added comfort by sealing off the cockpit in blustery conditions.

Entering the saloon through dual sliding doors, you are greeted by an inviting space finished in beautiful teak and holly flooring. The starboard L-shaped settee and additional portside settee provide ample seating, complemented by a Samsung Frame TV for entertainment. Modern comforts abound with Starlink satellite internet, Dometic air conditioning throughout, and a U-Line ice maker. Additionally, a pull-out double bed in the saloon offers extra sleeping accommodations for guests.

A few steps forward leads to the raised pilothouse and galley, designed to keep the captain engaged with guests while underway. The galley located to starboard is fully equipped with high-end Vitrifigo refrigeration and Miele appliances, including a cooktop, oven, and microwave. Forward of the galley a U-shaped lounge with a fixed dining table sits to port, creating an ideal space for shared meals. The pilothouse is outfitted with a single helm seat, full Raymarine electronics suite, Naiad 252 Fin Stabilisers for enhanced guest comfort, and internal access to the flybridge.

'Cabana' features a well thought out three cabin layout accessed via the raised pilothouse staircase. The midship athwartships master suite is a private retreat, boasting a starboard facing island king-size bed, Samsung Frame TV, private ensuite with sliding doors and a separate shower stall, and access to the utility and engine room which sits aft of the master cabin, additional engine room access is via the large deck hatch under the cockpit sole. The forward VIP cabin offers a comfortable queen-size centerline bed with private entry to a shared bathroom, which also features a separate shower stall. The portside guest cabin is fitted with over-and-under single berths, ensuring ample accommodation for family and friends.

The flybridge, accessible via both cockpit stairs and the previously mentioned internal pilothouse access, is designed for relaxation and command. A single centreline helm seat is positioned at the helm, and mirrored Raymarine electronics as found in the pilothouse. An L-shaped settee wraps around a fixed table to port, with an additional settee to starboard. A hardtop provides essential weather protection, while the teak decking and flybridge clears enhance the space's usability. The non-skid boat deck overhang features a Steelhead Marine Davit with a 364kg capacity, and dedicated tender racks for storage.

The teak-laid side decks are complemented by stainless-steel handrails ensuring safety and comfort walking around the vessel. At the bow, a forward-facing settee beckons for relaxation, while a Ultra stainless steel anchor complete with a Lofrans Falkon horizontal windlass takes care of your anchoring requirements.

Accessed through the master cabin, the utility room and spacious engine room with ample headroom house an array of upgrades to enhance offshore capability. A Waeco freezer, fuel storage bladders, fuel transfer system, offshore medical kits, and dedicated safety equipment ensure the vessel meets the highest standards, including passing NZ Category One Certification as recently as 2023.
