Description
This 44 foot express cruiser is the ideal yacht for traveling to the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, or out to dinner. She has twin 500 hp Volvo IPS counter-rotating pod drives which allows the captain to move the yacht in any of 360 degrees with the simple twist of the joystick.
This yacht was the dealer demo when the Prestige Yacht brand was introduced to North America. Most of her engine hours were accumulated between Florida and the Bahamas during five summer trips. The rest of her time was using the yacht for sea-trials or going to dinner.
Although the yacht only has approximately 640 hours of operation per engine, she just underwent a 1000 maintenance service. Any part of the motor that has salt water running thru it was removed, cleaned, pressure tested, and reinstalled with new "O"-Rings. The drive shafts and seals were also replaced. In fact, she is running so well she reached a speed of 38 miles per hour at wide open throttle. The fuel consumption is incredible. Between 18 and 26 miles per hour this vessel burns one gallon per mile; a 20 mph cruise burns 20 gallons per hour.
The electric window between the upper salon and the cockpit allows the passengers to all be together as a group in good weather. And when the weather turns fowl, simply raise the window, close the glass door, turn on the upper salon air conditioning and the party goes on.
The owner added a KVH M3 satellite along with four (3) flat panel televisions. He also added a 16,000 BTU A/C-Heater to the upper salon. And lastly there is a Glendenning electric power cord retrieval system added to this vessel.
