This Barkas 13.50 has undergone a thorough refit in 2022-2023, during which the entire interior paneling was renewed, a large freestanding bed measuring 180 x 200cm was installed in the fore cabin, new upholstery for the U-shaped dinette and outdoor seating in the cockpit, a bathroom with a WC sealed entirely in polyester, a lower level with 2 x single beds of 90 x 200cm, a newly installed combination microwave, a 75-liter boiler, water tank, refrigerator, 5 new ship windows, all electrical systems renewed, fully LED lighting, and 10 power outlets. In 2024, the entire hull was repainted in dark blue with the characteristic red Barkas stripe. The antifouling and anodes were also renewed in 2024. The 120 hp VW diesel was installed in 2014 to replace a 62 hp Mitsubishi. Furthermore, the ship is equipped with: a fully closable tent around the open cockpit with zip-out sections, storage boxes, access to the main engine via the open cockpit, stainless steel railing all around, integrated swimming platform with flexiteak (2022), 2 x painted teak double doors to the salon, a large flat salon roof for the potential installation of solar panels, and a clearance height of approximately 2.70m.
