She is elegant and rugged and of course “unsinkable”. As Lenny Rudow puts it, this vessel is a “big and brauny dual console…Grady builds some seriously stout boats.”
Featuring an expansive console with head, sink and bulk storage she also has a roomy cockpit with wet bar, and refrigerator. Not only a pleasure boat, she is also true salt water capable and deliver a great riding hull. From miles offshore to coastal sunset cruises the Freedom 307 is designed for comfort and confidence in any waters. With her hull design and a transom deadrise of 19.5 degrees along with this power package she hops on plane quickly and is quite maneuverable underway, making her easy to handle for even newer boaters, owners and captains.
As with all Grady-Whites this boat can certainly be a mean, green fishing machine. Her aft deck is flexible with an electronically-actuated bench seat can be shifted forward at the press of a button to give you more space in the aft deck when fishing, or roll back for more lounging room when entertaining.
There is also a fold-down transom bench seat and a starboard side day picnic and bait prep area complete with a refrigerator, sink and insulated storage. And when fishing is the order of the day, she has all the proper amenities where it counts including ample rod storage, rod holders,rocket launchers and well designed toe rails. A large portside stowage area gives you extra room when needed and there is a generous 32-gallon circulating livewell for keeping the catch of the day fresh as can be. An ice box in the transom can hold even more. The rear of the boat offers great accessibility with a wide transom door and flip up boarding ladder plus a fresh water shower for washing off that sand and mud (and washing down the decks when you’re done fishing).
A roomy cockpit for her size – you won’t find many other dual consoles with this kind of onboard space – the Freedom 307 has a versatile seating arrangement and a hardtop shades the entire helm and passenger seating area with an electronic shade that can extend back over the aft deck as well.
For a boat of this size, the console room on either side is remarkable. There is a full size berth and a head with sink and toilet. This makes long days on the water more enjoyable as well as offering the possibilities of quick overnight trips and weekend adventures.
Owners and operators will enjoy a large double wide helm seat that accommodates two, along with a broad helm station with a dash that incorporate dual chartplotters. There are the ever-popular flip-up bolsters and plenty of optional electronic equipment and digital controls available.
The bow offers a remarkably comfortable area for riding in and enjoying those rays on a beautiful afternoon. Her cushioned sides offer thick padded bolsters for leaning back on and there are two forward facing loungers with backrests on either side. A removable cocktail table can also be filled in to create a large sunpad or “playpen”. And there is a convenient anchor windlass up front as well.
