Performance & Handling

• In sea trial tests by BoatTEST, in moderate seas (5’–7’ waves), the 28 Cabin demonstrated strong seakeeping and handling. 
• With a single 400 hp Mercury outboard, the boat achieved top speeds just under ~ 56 mph (≈ 48-50 knots) in light conditions 
• Best cruise is often cited around 3,500 rpm, giving ~ 31 mph with fuel burn ~ 13.7 gph, yielding a practical range (with reserve) of ~ 138 miles. 
• The hull design, including twin steps and a deadrise aft of ~ 22°, helps maintain stability, reduce spray, and manage turns with minimal prop ventilation. 
• The plumb bow also helps increase effective waterline length and improves tracking (less lateral slide in turns).

Deck & Walkaround

• The boat offers walkaround decks on both port and starboard sides, making movement fore/aft easier and safer.
