Description
The Regal 28 Express is one of the largest legally trailerable cruisers produced in recent years. That’s good news for those who
want the flexibility a trailerable boat affords, especially consideringrising slip fees, etc. The downside of such a big trailerable cruiser, however, is a narrow interior with triangular hullside windows. A modest galley is to starboard with a microwave, sink and Corian countertop, and a small head compartment with near standing headroom is opposite. Forward is a convertible dinette/V-berth, and a queen berth is aft in the mid-cabin area. In the cockpit,the aft sun pad lays flat for sunning or converts to a chaise. Additional features include high-gloss cherry interior cabinetry, removable cockpit cooler, transom shower, stainless drink holders, double helm seat, trim tabs, and an extended swim platform. The forward opening engine compartment hatch is a plus. No lightweight, a single 350hp Volvo Penta 5.9 GXI gas I/O Dual Prop will cruise at 18–22 knots (about 36 knots top).
